We had such a wonderful time at River Tide. We absolutely love the midcoast of Maine and have vacationed there for years. This property is at the top of our list! The spaces are perfect for gathering with others while also having cozy nooks to get away with a book or take a nap. We loved kayaking right from the property and despite the cooler than normal temps, I went for a swim in the cove at high tide every day. The home is very well equipped for at home meals and has lists of games and puzzles that we all enjoyed. Truly a magical spot in St. George.
A thoughtful and well-designed space that is truly peaceful. In addition to the lovely view, wood is used throughout the home which helps with lowering blood pressure and cortisol levels. A truly special place - wish we could have stayed longer!
We had a great stay here, and would recommend it to anyone. The house is comfortably furnished, and the kitchen is large, well-equipped, and great for cooking. The location on the cove is fantastic for bird-watchers, or for sitting in an adirondack chair and just watching the tide go out or come in. The owner is super responsive and helpful. Hopefully we'll be able to return for a future stay.
We had an amazing time at River Tide for our family vacation. The house was very clean and it was nice to be able to sit and relax in the Adirondack chairs overlooking the ocean. My son and I had an epic experience kayaking at dusk with the wildlife. We were able to hike in Camden, bike to Port Clyde, and enjoy some time on Monhegan Island. It was truly a great family vacation!

We're so glad you enjoyed the house and followed up on some of our suggestions for wonderful things to do on the peninsula and up the coast.
House is very clean and tastefully decorated and the waterfront property is lovely. We were fortunate to have great weather; there was a constant breeze which kept the house cool and free of mosquitoes. The kitchen is very well-equiped and the outdoor grill made cooking meals they're very easy. Master Bed is very comfortable. The location of the house being only 15 minutes driving from Rockland is great. We very much enjoyed our stay.
The house was as described. This is a beautiful setting and accessible to kayaking, beaching, Rockland, trails and more. The house had comfortable and clean lounging, dining, and sleeping areas and the kitchen was well stocked with most every utensil, pot, pan, cooking tools you would find at home. Easily the most well- appointed kitchen we have had in a vacation rental. Philip was responsive and accommodating! Highly recommend!
Beautiful house with lots of loving touches. A peaceful spot on the St. George peninsula- the meditative tides of the cove were soothing and rivaled views on more open water. We appreciated the kayaks and the perfect paddling locale for beginners, hammock, chairs by the water, ping-pong and inspiring book collection. Long time visitors to St. George, we also enjoyed easy access to all of our favorite spots to visit including Rockland and Spruce Head. One of the most communicative (yet respectful of privacy) hosts we’ve encountered through the years!

The Perfect Getaway
This home was amazing! Located on a sound, it had incredible ocean views from every window. The home had numerous places to sit and relax. We especially enjoyed the balcony off of the master bedroom and the screened in porch. The rooms were spacious and spotless as well as comfortable. The large but secluded yard was perfect for families as it included amenities such as: kayaks, hammocks, lawn chairs, and a fire pit. The location of the home proved excellent as it was in a quiet, secluded spot, yet close to Camden, Rockport, Port Clyde, and many of the area's lighthouses. Phillip and Jen are such gracious owners and working with them was a pleasure. This home is one that we highly recommend and would love to visit again in the future.

It was a pleasure to have such thoughtful and appreciative guests. We look forward to a return visit.
A Dreamy Stay on the St. George River – We Can’t Wait to Return! We felt so fortunate to spend a week back in Maine at River Tide. Having lived in nearby in Maine for 18 years right across the St. George River, we can confidently say this location is absolute perfection to come back "home" to Maine! We had just as much fun relaxing at the house as we did exploring the area, and we could easily see this becoming a regular vacation spot for our family.Highlights from our stay:Stunning Architecture & Views: The design and layout of the home truly set it apart from other vacation rentals we’ve stayed in. The main floor layout is ideal for family activities, and the screened-in porch was a lifesaver from bugs on still mornings and evenings.Water Activities: Having access to the kayaks was fantastic. Launching at high tide was super easy, and we really appreciated the host's proactive advice and recommendation to download a tide app.Family-Friendly Amenities: Our kids loved the yard swing and playing in the spacious grass area. The host also provided a great selection of books, games, and puzzles that kept everyone entertained.Cozy Evenings: Fire pits on cool Maine nights with s'mores made for great memories, and the grill was simple to use.Communication was stellar from start to finish—the detailed pre-arrival email answered every question before we even had to ask. Thank you for opening up such a lovely home to guests!
We had a wonderful, relaxing week! Thanks to Philip and the assist from his grandson on the workings of the TV and sound bar!
Your home is lovely and the views fabulous from every room!! Quintessential Maine all the way!!
Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay at River Tide very much. The house is beautiful and the scenery around it is stunning. We kayaked, watched the birds, visited the local lighthouses and enjoyed just being together in the home. This was our first trip to Maine and it did not disappoint. I would have happily stayed longer...
We were impressed by the level of cleanliness, comfort, and overall layout of the home. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, cooking equipment, and basic spices we needed as avid cooks. Beds were firm, which we prefer, and linens were clean and fresh. Especially helpful was the tide chart for timing use of the kayaks. Other details and communication were fully outlined in a binder. The location of the home allowed us to explore virtually every hiking trail on the peninsula and beyond. We were honored and delighted to have the opportunity to stay in this little piece of heaven.
Extended family get-together, three couples and single adult
Kitchen with island had all the things we needed to cook with: pots, pans, cutting boards, etc and plenty of dishes and glassware. The grill was great too. Huge dining table for games and eating. We did several puzzles as a family. We loved the patios. There was always a wonderful breeze in the living room despite hot weather. And lovely for birdwatching. Midway to Owls Head and Port Clyde. The kayaks were fun and the cove had calm water and was wake-free.
We enjoyed our stay immensely and would recommend the property to families (we stayed with our 3.5 year old). The house was well appointed to cook, grill, lounge and play. We used the kayaks multiple times and found the variety of options helpful for varying skill levels. Putting the kayaks in behind the house was relatively easy and the protected areas made for enjoyable, low-key excursions. The wifi was good for the occasional work video conference and the tv/cable options were plentiful when staying in. The location was convenient when going up to Rockland/Camden to dine at Primo or sail in Rockland harbor, for coffee at Flipside in Thomaston, or within Tenants Harbor for fried chicken sandwiches at Ancho Honey or lobster rolls at McLoon's Lobster Shack.
We truly enjoyed our stay. The property was well situated and we enjoyed exploring the area. The kitchen was well appointed and we used it to our advantage. We also enjoyed the kayaks. Just make sure you pay attention to the tide charts provided. We would definitely rent this property again and highly recommend it.
Lovely location and views just the right distance between Rockland and Port Clyde. A well designed, comfortable house that works well and has great views of the cove and shore front from every room. Owner is very responsive and communicates quickly to any questions,
A wonderful magical experience, super clean and very cozy, we felt right at home from the moment we stepped through the front door. Philip is very personable and a pleasure to deal with.
