Nature’s Rest is located on the property of the Cataract Falls Lodge. An ideal getaway whether you want peace and tranquility or an adventure in the park. A one-minute walk into the park are two of the most spectacular water fall features in the Midwest. Bring your hiking boots and explore. Within a 45-minute drive of the Lodge are two state parks, McCormick's Creek and Turkey Run.

The property is 30 minutes from DePauw University and 50 minutes from IU and Indiana State University. Other attractions include Cagle's Mill Rosevear AKA Cataract Lake and Cowpokes Arena at the C Bar C, both less than a 15-minute drive from the Lodge.

My stay here was very pleasant and the suite was beautiful. The hosts were very quick with replies to messages and kind. They even sent me a email with lots of information concerning whats in area, restaurants, falls, etc. I highly recommend this getaway. Would stay here again!!!

Everything about this experience was amazing. The place is spacious, beautiful, and had everything we needed. The owners put a lot of work into making it lovely and welcoming. They also were very responsive to questions along the way. Highly recommend this location and this host in general.

I had a fantastic time! I had one problem with the shower, but the owners were very quick to respond and fix the problem. It is WAY WORTH THE PRICE! It's probably nicer than my own house! Lol. I would recommend this area to anybody!

Hi! I am Bill your host. I go by Captain Bill here around the lake. I moved here to Indianapolis shortly after participating in the 1987 Pan American Games playing Team Handball. I purchased this property with the sole purpose of making it what it is today. A vacation get-a-way for families and groups wanting to explore the amazing Cataract Falls State Recreation area. Becky, my girlfriend who goes by First Mate Becky, is my partner in this adventure and the both of us welcome you to experience all this area has to offer.

Why they chose this property

If you enjoy the outdoors, nature and adventure but equally enjoy the comforts of a fine hotel suite, this is the place for you. It's not a location intended for long term stays but for a few days it is ideal for either rest and tranquility or Adventure in the park. The connecting Event Veranda is great for weddings, family gatherings, friends get togethers or focus group round ups. Hike the Trails into the park then the next day hit one of the nearby State Parks; McCormacks Creek State Park or Turkey Run. Both less than a 45 minute drive.

What makes this property unique

Nature’s Rest is located at the entrance to the Cataract Falls State Recreation Area. An amazing park with two of the most spectacular waterfall features in the Midwest.
