This area has such a lovely temperate climate that holidays at any time of the year are great. The temperature is mild compared with the cold British winters, and it is often possible to be sitting on the terrace enjoying breakfast in the winter, so makes an ideal early spring or late autumn break.
The early arrival of spring in March is also a wonderful time to visit. The olive groves are smothered in gorgeous yellow spring flowers, with grape hyacinths, and lilac coloured cyclamens growing wild and profusely and blossom on the almond trees that smells heavenly! Although the pool is not open until mid- May, there are wonderful beach and country walks to take and enjoy the sunny weather. It's a great place at any time of the year and can be a wonderful de-stressing break! There are so many interesting towns to visit and great places to eat,. The history of this region is extremely varied and intriguing due to the many invasions from other nations and their differing life styles. You could learn a lot by exploring the towns and villages in this lovely part of Italy, in temperatures that are very pleasant out of season and when you get to know the Italian people they make you feel very welcome indeed.
