About this property
Upper Paradise Log Cabin - Nightly Rental in the Woods
Built by a renowned log cabin expert in 1982, the Paradise Cabin has been recently updated, is surrounded by the Chugach National Forest and directly next to the famous Moose Pass 'swimming hole'. This cabin is private, clean, cozy and perfect for a couple or small family looking to experience the many activities of the Kenai Peninsula. Perfectly located close to the beautiful seaside city of Seward, world-class king salmon fishing in Cooper Landing, and the charming town of Moose Pass.
If you are looking for a unique and rustic cabin to relax and recharge in a beautiful mountain setting, you've found it! Private, yet convenient to all the Kenai Peninsula has to offer. Come and experience the charm of a 'real' pioneer log cabin. This cabin is immediately adjacent to the Moose Pass swimming hole and often in the summer you will hear the joyful noises of kids jumping off the diving platform.
This beautiful log cabin tucked away in a wooded setting will charm you the moment you pull in the driveway. The property is calm and quiet, however, please note that the cabin is fairly close to the Seward Highway and during high traffic times (mid-morning and mid-afternoon), you will hear traffic-related noise from the highway. We assure you that in the mornings and evenings, the noise quiets down.
We constructed a brand new cabin in the winter of 2019 called the Lower Paradise Log Cabin. It is available to rent as well and would be the perfect compliment to a large group traveling together. The two cabins now share a driveway but have their own parking and are completely separate.
This cabin is private, clean, cozy and perfect for a couple or small family looking to experience the many activities of the Kenai Peninsula. The cabin was built in 1982 and as such, there are quirks that come with its age.
This log cabin has everything you need, beautifully built, cozy stove that provides perfect warmth. The cabin itself is spacious, clean, nicely decorated and really well-kept. And the bed is top quality. Out the front door, there's a deck with a lounge chair.
There is a queen bed in the loft and a double, pull-out bed in the brand new couch. The living room is open to the kitchen and has a dining set for four + people. The cabin has quality furnishings throughout with hand chosen furniture, bedding, appliances and décor. We perform a quality check on the cabin prior to your arrival, which will ensure you of a wonderful experience.
The only way to get around in Moose Pass is to have your own car. There is no public transportation or taxi cabs. There are transportation services to and from the larger communities of Cooper Landing and Seward.

Hi, my name is Willow. I live in Anchorage and work at an environmental consulting but am from Moose Pass, Alaska . I have a very active lifestyle and love the outdoors. I look forward to helping you make your Alaska vacation as special as it can be! Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions.
Why they chose this property
This property is the perfect location for anyone looking to experience all the Kenai Peninsula has to offer because of its central location. I was born and raised in Moose Pass and although I now live in Anchorage for work, I travel home every weekend to recreate with my family. There is no better place to enjoy the outdoors and all Alaska has to offer.
What makes this property unique
I fell in love with this cabin because of its rustic look. I have always been drawn to log cabins and this one is considered historic, built in 1982. The cabin appears in several books on how to build log cabins in Alaska. The front door of the cabin is particularly famous in these books. The front porch is a great place to sit, relax, and stare at the beautiful mountains as you unwind from a busy day.
