Property was very nice and very clean everything you needed. Very updated and location to local shops within walking distance Just had a little street noise but tolerable
Clean and nice room. Cute shops up and down the street. Coffee shop a short walk away. Beautiful state park just across the road. (We got married there) Would absolutely love to stay here again!
This place met our needs. Easy to find, helpful communication, very clean/comfortable. Was initially concerned about location as it’s on a busy intersection. However, noise was better than anticipated and we slept well at night. Great location for activities. Would stay there again.
My wife and I frequently stay at VRBO properties in multiple countries. Sarah's units are among the very best we've stayed. She and Jason have fully renovated the lofts in the most up to date construction and furnishings. The amenities are well thought out and more than complete. I highly recommend these lofts to anyone visiting in the area around Taylor's Falls. The building is located at a moderately busy intersection of US hwy 8 and MN hwy 95, so guest should expect some modest road noise at the normally busy daytime hours and possibly some at the nearby gas station later in the evening. It is a short walk under the Hwy 8 bridge to the shore of the St Croix south of the hwy and to walk along the river in Interstate State Park. Coffee Talk in town, and 3 Arrows coffee two miles east on Hwy 35 north off hwy 8, are two very good and comfortable coffee shops.Food options are more limited, as a small rural community. There are bar and grill restaurants in the area common to this part of MN. "Tangle up in Blue" offers more upscale cuisine in town. 15 minutes down hwy 95 is the Watershed in Osceola, WI. A bit further down hwy 95 in Marine on St Croix in MN is Brookside Bar and Grill. Both offer a wide variety of upscale and delicious cuisine, at very modest prices, well with the short drives.
This is a lovely comfortable space in a not so lovely location. The unit was spotless, modern, great linens, comfy bed, right by Interstate Park and had everything we needed. We appreciated the efficient washer/dryer (soap provided!) However, the only electrical outlet in the bathroom was not working, nor was the light over the stove (dark for cooking). We were there just one night so we did not report that till checkout. Unfortunately, the location is at a busy highway junction and across from a brightly lit gas station. Even so, the unit seemed well insulated and it was pretty quiet during sleeping hours. We were there on a fall weekday so there was little activity in town. If you want to be in-town next to restaurants and shops and don't mind some road noise this is your place. My main complaint regards check-in. We were sent an old unit entry code (which was quickly addressed via a phone call) and told that the outside door to the 4 units was usually not locked (true since we entered the wrong code for that door but got in anyway). Taylor's Falls may be the safest place ever but the outside entry is at the back in a parking lot and there are two blind corners in the hallway. Also, when I called for the correct entry code the host was surprised, as she thought we were booked for the next day (no, and I'm glad the unit had been cleaned), so had not stocked the snacks (not a problem for us).
