Peaceful and comfortable

We thoroughly enjoy our stay at the loft. Views of the beautiful glaciers and Kachemak Bay were amazing. We used it as a home base to explore diverse habitats and landscapes, including the Homer Spit, Bishop's Beach, Beluga Slough, east end of the bay, and Brooks Falls in Katmai (a day trip). Wonderful to come back to such a comfortable and serene lodging at the end of the day. We love everything about the loft. Our only suggestion is to provide a couple of hooks in the bathroom to hang clothes and towels.

Solid Spot

This was a bright, clean space and the owners leave all base necessities such as dish soap, laundry detergent, food wrap etc. The only thing missing was a wine opener, but we contributed one, so all good. There is a really good view with easy access to Homer spit, a truly lovely location (we saw a moose in the yard one night). What isn't clear from the pictures is that this is a private loft over a garage with its own entry and excellent privacy. The ONLY thing that was really rough here is the lack of darkening shades and a privacy shade for the entry door. When you are in a place that sees 4 hours of darkness all night, darkening shades are not optional. Hopefully the owner will take care of that, as we would certainly come again.

Relaxing Retreat

Lovely tranquil setting - apartment is as pictured. Moose family dining on the bushes early AM and at dusk. Enjoyed our stay and especially loved the drive on East End Road going N of Homer & Fritz Creek with it’s beautiful views across the bay. Owners replied promptly to any questions.

Loft experience

Great location close to Homer but far enough out to get away. Clean and well maintain place! Loved the Fritz Creek general store. Beds were good and clean. Great view out the windows! Would be good to have some salt and pepper as well as a bottle opener at the site. Close to hiking and trails was nice. I would stay there again and would recommend staying at the loft to my family and friends.
