* Separate outside entrances (for family, friends OR fishing buddies to have their own space, Kids love it!) Don't need that much room or want to billed separately with another party? We will rent each space separately. Send us a message so we can change it for you.

* Full Kitchen (with mini fridge, oven, stove, microwave, dishes/utensils, pots/pans, dish towel, dish soap)

* Two Full Bathrooms (including towels, wash cloths, hand towels, bath mats, shampoo and conditioner, hair dryer)

* Security cameras

* High-speed Wifi/Internet (for Free)

* No Smoking or Pets (we are very strict about this with very high fees, please see the VRBO section about this for fee cost.)

* Taxi Service is available. (I have a small vehicle but I am HaPpY to pick you up at the airport if I am available. Please give me a call before departing so I can make space for your bags. )

* RV parking available (on the left side of the street, as you drive in to the driveway you will see the signs)

* Boat parking available (on the other side of the harbor)

* Two SMART TVs (to use your favorite subscriptions or what we have connected)

* Need something not listed? We are always adding details, give us some ideas from your wish list.

* To our previous guests - we have sold the coffee shop. It was a hard decision because we loved giving you "that something extra" but 2020 was difficult and the new owners are amazing, who have shown promises of some great things to come. We made that decision hoping it wasn't the reason you loved staying with us ;) and hope that you can make it back sooner than later. We understand the pandemic but missed you!

* This Beach House was renovated from an old Fishing Lodge, if you are looking for the Famous Cozy Bear Lodge, that used to be on the Spit, you found it! As you can see, it no longer has particle-board walls, creaky beds, and exposed bathroom fixtures...You're Welcome! :)

* We give a Military and extended stay discounts, etc.
BEFORE you book, look for the place that allows you to send owners a message, add in the booking information and tell us the discount information you are asking for, it will let us to edit and add in the discount. Otherwise we will need you to cancel and rebook it to get that discount in for you. Which is no problem, if you missed this part and find it later it's just extra steps on your credit card bill but we are willing...

All deposits are forfeited if pets are brought to the property. The Boardwalk Owners also don’t allow for them to be kept tied up outside.

Check in was super easy and it’s in a great spot! Very comfortable beds. We did run out of hot water in the shower at night and one of the garbages had trash in it when we arrived. Otherwise we loved it. Would stay again!

4 Guys Fishing Trip

Top of the world experience !

From the moment we pulled up everyone had big smiles! It was a privilege to stay here and be immersed in the action taking place all around on the Homer Spit. The beds were welcoming and comfortable and the kitchenette well stocked for coffee on the deck that we will never forget while overlooking the Bay. Everyone could pick something to do that suited them most and we could all meet up to share some experiences too because the location offers a tremendous diversity of experiences. Altogether top notch!

We are a military family that has decided that Alaska would be a great place for our next adventure. With 7 kids everyday was an adventure. Now that they are grown I had to find a way to get them all home at one time and I know that Alaska will be what brings us all together again. Until then, we invite you to stay in our cabin, we would love to have you!

Why they chose this property

Right in the heart of the Homer Spit, on this boardwalk alone you will find: Food (from 4 restaurants including world-class entrees, artisan dogs, Thai food and ice cream), Fun (boardwalk games, a bubble station, beach bonfires and the swings underneath) Unique shops (with sea salt. t-shirts, art galleries and a candy shop) and best of all Memory Makers (our cottage for great getaway, photo stops with Big Bear or a submarine, the kiddie boat and even a tattoo parlour).

What makes this property unique

The decor is intended to mimic the inside of a ship (hence the name, The Wheelhouse) and it feels so appropriate when you hear the waves just outside your door lapping on the shoreline. The view has been described as “amazing”, “unbelievable”, “incredible” and “breathtaking”. It is what you will fall asleep to and awake with each day. You may even catch a glimpse of a gorgeous bald eagle sitting on one of the rooftops, a cuddly otter floating by at almost any hour of the day or whale spout that can keep you focused on the ocean for so long you may forget time, so have your camera ready!
