Older couple with heads in a tree.

It was a unique experience given to us and chosen by us. The tree house stimulated and revived our imagination .

Lovely Tree House

The tree house was well laid out and structurally sound as the earthquake occurred while we were there. Nice hot shower - two steps away from our space and was private. Fun bohemian feel. Simple and completely adequate kitchen with all that we needed to prep simple foods. We loved the Fritz Creek store up the road - they had beautiful food to go and was freshly made with real non processed ingredients. We also enjoyed the chickens in the yard - full of character. It was a great value fir money.

Cute little place! My only issues with this particular place was, the bathroom was “private” but you had to exit the main cabin to get across the tree to it, how far from most of the things we were in Homer for and I didn’t realize the property was in a grove of cottonwood trees. I’m highly allergic to cottonwood trees and it was hard to wake up with all the meds I had to take.

This is a room we'll never forget and hope to retun to! The treehouse was beautiful, unique and livable! Our kids didn't want to leave! They loved the chickens and swing too!

Fun , quirky cozy

VRBO actually double booked us so my dates had to be changed which resulted in losing options of family activities since it was changed to a Sunday . The eviroment was charming artsy .the beds were comfy . I didn't care for the private bath , I had to fumble with sink to get it to come on .and the top level seems like a fun hang out we didn't utilize it much cause we were there with young children but it would be fun under other circumstances although I would invest in a new record player ,so we can fully enjoy your awesome record collection . Loved the outdoor area having a fire pit and bbq is a bonus

Can't count

VRBO doubled booked my wife and I on Friday of Memorial Day weekend. We were forced to find another room late on Friday evening. The property manager said VRBO knows about their scheming problem yet does nothing g to fix it. The property owner refu des my money however VRBOstill has not returned their commission for the double booking

Ecclectic, Bohemian get away in a treehouse

The property is surrounded by lush trees, plants, flowers. I stayed in the Treehouse, which had everything I needed -bathroom, mini-kitchen, utensils, linens. The place is decorated with a Boho feel. I LOVE this comfy place. The bedding was super soft and cozy. Internet and TV with Internet was perfect. I came to get away and work on my PhD class and I couldn't be more delighted with my stay. Exactly what I needed!

Coolest vacation rental you will find in AK

Ok so let me start by saying that it was such a cool place, not what you would expect. We rented the Adorable Treehouse... and that it was. First we were greeted upon arrival and questions answered by human care takers... then by some extra special feline ones ❤. Loved the kitties... so cute and friendly and did I mention cute? The treehouse had everything you could need. Bed upstairs was very comfortable and so was the smaller bed. Shower was very clean and comfortable although we had to get used to walking down the hall outside our room to use it. So one of our favorite parts... besides the cats... ( the fluffy one was our favorite ).... was the third floor fireplace, record playing, lounge area. Soooo cool. We had our glasses of wine, in front of the fireplace listening to the BeeGee's.... what could be better. Can't imagine staying anywhere else. I would recommend to pack light cause rolling heavy suitcases up the stairs is no joke.... it is a treehouse after all. Hopefully I will again make it down to Homer and stay here again. It looks like they are expanding the tree house to a larger 4th floor deck or something. We ran into other guest that mentioned they stayed in a greenhouse cabin and that it was gorgeous... might need to check that out too!

So cool you have to try it

We travel 3 times a year and it was a joy to stay in a treehouse of all things. We had the larger unit which has a private bath with a shower across the hall. There are two beds in the loft so the children took those and we took the futon in the living room. We were met with fresh muffins and here is the biggest gift of this vacation rental, housekeeping just like in a hotel. Each time we left for an adventure on Homer's Spit (a 10 minute drive away), we came home to a clean unit and once to the most magnificent blueberry muffins. The down side of vacation rentals is that you do not have housekeeping but wow, it was such a wonderful thing to come home after an outing to a clean unit. Here is a travel tip, the television has an RCA input so bring an HDMI to RCA converter (about $35-40) for x-box's, ROKU or any streaming devices. With the converter, our teenager was up and running on his x-box but the surroundings got him to unplug and play with his little sister on the tree swing, hiking in the surrounding fields and our hosts showed a generosity of spirit and patience with our 9 year old when she explored the greenhouses and she even got an opportunity to feed the chickens, yes, chickens. There is a hand drawn map to help you navigate the grounds. Take it with you on hikes. We visited from Southern California so the treehouse was the perfect adventure for our city kids yet comfortable enough for adults to relax. I am embarrassed to say that I napped a bit more than I anticipated because it was just so peaceful while the children were outside playing and I felt that the children were quite safe on the grounds. I did not mean to drift off as much as I did but the treehouse has the perfect balance of comfort and the feeling like you are camping. I believe our host were artists so the unit is decorated with tons of art. There is a wood burning stove that we never figured out how to use but I am sure it is easy. There is tons of wood provided downstairs. There is also a community firepit right in front of the unit for s'mores. There is a toaster oven and microwave in the unit so we never needed the wood burning stove. There is a full refrigerator so we stopped and fetched groceries on our way in and it was perfect.

Cozy, comfortable, adorable retreat in the trees

What a wonderful little spot. The Adorable Tree house is exactly that and so much more. All the comforts of home perched in the canopy of some glorious trees. It's even better than the pictures! We usually stay on the beach but have been converted. Looking forward to coming back again and again.

Hidden Gem

Wow, what a unique and thoughtful rental! The pictures were lovely but they don't do justice to the overall layout and quirkeness of the treehouse (and it really was a treehouse!) the beds were very comfortable and there were lots of little extras. Lorraine was the best. Warm and helpful in regards to local hiking trails/ restaurants. She even left out fresh farm eggs and muffins. This rental is a little bit past Homer proper/about a $25 cab ride from all things downtown and the spit but there's plenty of local cab comps. This was one of the coolest and most comfortable rentals I've had the pleasure of staying in. Highly recommended. You won't be disappointed.
