About this property
Jasper Inn Olympic Beach Cabin on the Strait of Juan De Fuca
Summary:
Quaint, rustic beachfront cabin
The Space:
This rustic cabin has a small living/dining area, kitchen, bathroom with shower. There is no electricity in the cabin but all appliances (oven and refrigerator) and lights are powered via propane. There is one queen size bed and one brand new couch that folds out to a full size bed in the main living area. All with incredible waterfront views. Relax on the beach or get cozy next to the flaming propane stove.
Located just 25 minutes outside Port Angeles, our guests can enjoy the serenity and beauty of the Olympic Peninsula with easy access to town and some of the best hiking, hunting, fishing and exploring you will ever find.
Nearby Olympic National Park entrances like the Sol Duc, Hurricane Ridge, Hoh Rain Forest, Cape Flattery make this location an excellent "base camp" from which you can explore the Olympic Peninsula and towns like Forks, Neah Bay and beaches like Shi Shi Beach and Hobuck Beach. Explore the parks, walk the rivers (Dungeness, Elwha and many more), kayak on Lake Crescent or drop right in the Strait from our private boat ramp. During the Winter and Fall, enjoy the true nature of the Pacific Northwest: observe the high tides, storm surges and occasional dense marine fog from the comfort of your cozy cabin. You are going to love this place!
*** A note to our winter guests: December and January have been known to produce King Tides. During extreme weather conditions your reservation may need to be altered or rescheduled. Do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.
** Strict Pet Policy: Please inform me upon booking that you would like to bring a pet. You will need to pay the pet fee in the office upon arrival. Fee ranges by breed. (starting at $10 a night for non-shedding, smaller pets if you bring bedding for your bed). To save a large portion of the pet fee, please bring along your own bedding (blankets and pillows) for your beds. Please keep pets off all furniture. Keep pets on a leash when out in the campground. Keep them under control and clean up after them.
The Neighborhood:
Within 3 hrs of Seattle and Portland, this is a perfect getaway from the big city. We are nestled in the middle of so many beautiful spots to visit here around the Olympic parks. Only 25-30 min to the breathtaking Lake Crescent. There are numerous hikes and places to explore there. Not much further from that is the entrance to Sol Duc. Going the other direction you’ll find the Olympic Hot Springs and be close to Hurricane Ridge entrance . Cape flattery or the Hoh rainforest are not to be missed if you’re headed towards Sekui or Forks area.
* There is a great little store only 8 min from our cabins , Joyce General, that closes at 8pm. We are only 25 min from Port Angeles so if you’re looking for more options be sure to hit Safeway or Walmart off 101 before heading in for the night.
* Blackberry Cafe is a nice option for a meal out that is only 5-8 min from us. Family Kitchen and the One Twelve are two others near our place. In Port Angeles you have everything from amazing burgers at the Next Door Gastropub, tasty BBQ at Coyote Grill, yummy seafood and steak at Kokopelli Grill, Pho that’s the best at New Saigon. For quick and easy on the pocketbook, Fast Burrito with fresh tasty Mexican food . Also Sabi Thai has stellar Thai food. New Day Eatery has breakfast and lunch only, and is very good! Off the 101 on your way to Lake crescent, try out Granny’s Cafe open during the summer season.
Other Things to Note:

*Most GPS software is giving incorrect directions to our location. After you get onto the dirt road, you will come to a "Y" in the road. Follow the large red signs pointing to the right, and do not go up BeachComber drive to the left. Continue to follow signs to Whiskey Creek WEST. Our office is right after you drive through the anchors. We will be ready to check you in there.

* Lights are very minimal. Making for a beautiful night sky’s. :) Stars galore! If you plan to arrive after dark be sure to follow the directions we give precisely and ask if you any questions at all. I’d bring a flash light along as well for getting settled in your cabin.
