Check in was extremely easy. The house was very clean and tidy and well equipped in the kitchen. It was very nice of Sheila to put some welcome chocolate candy on the fridge.
Sheilaâs place on pretty lake was amazing, perfect for the two of us and our pup. Sheila was a great host, very accommodating and responsive for any questions we had. Would definitely recommend and rent again!
Our stay was just what we were looking for. Peaceful and relaxing. Hanging out on the beach and in the water was great. Our dog had so much fun trying to catch fish and swimming. The cottage was cozy and Shiela is an amazing host to say the least!
Great little lake with a very nice host. Pedal boat, kayaks, paddle boards all included. Stayed during the week and was very quiet. Boys had fun catching plenty of bass, pike and bluegill. Host was there for anything we needed.
Renting this property from Sheila was wonderful! From check in to check out was very easy and relaxing. My wife and 2 dogs just loved the place, it's a great place to relax and the lake was great. Looking forward to renting from Sheila next summer, so l can meet her in person. Cheers Dan Cook!

Obviously you werenât at my lake!!! Itâs the most very quiet pretty little lake?? What are you talking about??? Dated property??? Itâs a 60 year old cute little cottage ! On all sand! Do t ever co tact me again!!
The cottage is real cute and comfortable. The hostess is the nicest person you would want to meet. She always checked in on us to make sure we had what we needed. We had the beach and water right outside with use of kayaks and other watercraft items if we wanted. Very relaxing. I would recommend this cottage to anyone.
Our family (2 adults, 1 6 yo, 2 Beagles) had a wonderful relaxing and fun week. The perks were the five steps in the grass and three steps down to be in the sand! Everyone we met, especially Shelia, was welcoming and friendly and our little one found friends to play with for a few days! We had everything that we needed and Shelia made sure to let us know that if we needed anything to just reach out.
My husband and I came up here for a long weekend and brought our dog. It was a great little cottage. Clean, friendly host, and cute lake. We did bring our small fishing boat as it was advertised with available dock space. There was dock space but no where to tie a boat to it as the host used the only poles to tie out their boat. We ended up beaching the boat and set a rear anchor but my legs are pretty beat up from jumping in and out.

Iâm sorry you didnât use the lift my guests after you used it and had no problem same size boat you would of been able to step in and out very easily
We recently stayed at Sheila's cabin and our experience was nothing short of fantastic! From the moment we arrived we were greeted by Sheila, who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. She provided us with a tour of the cabin and the surrounding, making it easy us to plan our family activities.
The cabin itself was immaculate and beautifully furnished with plenty of space our family (of 4) to spread out and relax. The stunning views the sun porch were the cherry on top, providing us with a relaxing setting to enjoy our morning coffee, read a book and evening sunsets. The kitchen was well-equipped, which made meal prep a breeze, and the cozy living room was perfect for family nights.
We especially enjoyed the outdoor fire pit for roasting marshmallows and staring at the stars.
Overall, our stay at this cabin was a wonderful experience filled with memories we will treasure forever. If you're looking for a great host and a beautiful cabin for a family vacation, look no further! We can't wait to return! Highly recommend!

Hellooo I lost your number and trying to contact you?
If you're looking for a beautiful, relaxing place to stay, Sheila's home on Pretty Lake is what you're looking for. The house was clean and comfortable, sheila was available anytime I had questions, and we had everything we needed and more.
The hummingbirds in the window were so fun to watch. So many in and out all day, everyday. The swing was a hit, the beach was clean and water was wonderful. The paddle boat, kayaks, and boards were also a nice addition.
I also forgot my sunglasses and Sheila was kind enough to send them to me. All in all, we had a wonderful stay on Pretty Lake! If you choose to stay at Sheila's, you will not be disappointed.
Such a nostalgic cottage experience. Host Shelia goes above and beyond. Shelia is extremely kind and very accommodating, making our trip wonderful. We used the kayaks, paddle boat, beach chairs, umbrellas, gas grill, picnic table, and firepit. We went hiking nearby and visited the local winery. This trip was so reminiscent of my childhood cottage vacations, perfect!
Our family stayed for a week and it was wonderful. Our kids had fun swimming and fishing in the lake. Beach area is perfect for young children. Kids can even fish right off of the dock. Our 7 year old caught several small fish in under an hour! We were able to bring our boat which was great. Cottage had everything we needed. Sheila was very nice and accommodating. Would come back again!
This was an amazing location on a quiet lake. It was just the right size and perfect for family to come visit and enjoy the paddle boat, kayaks, campfire and fishing. Host was friendly and made us feel right at home!
We had a lovely stay at this cabin. We had our own private sandy beach with use of a paddle boat, kayaks and paddle boards. The dock was great for fishing off of. The cabin was small but comfortable and clean. It Had everything that we needed in the kitchen for cooking and a nice gas grill outside. The cabin came supplied with cleaning products, garbage bags, paper products, shampoo, soap and lines. This was a nice touch for easy packing. Just bring your cloths and a swim towel. I would definitely stay here again.
As retirees, we appreciated the calmness of the property and the lake. The cottage is small and quaint with charm. Sheila, the property owner was a great hostess. We didn't have a CD player and she personally brought one to us to listen to our music. We had gone through a rough last nine months...our sabbatical here revived our energy and focus. The cottage was only an hour and a half from our home. Pretty lake is just that...PRETTY!
Our family of 5 stayed 4 nights /5 days. Huge storm went through right after we arrived. Power went out! For roughly 17 hours. The whole lake was out.
No worries. It was a learning experience for the kids. Fire pit and the propane grill made breakfast & coffee in the morning. đ
What a view! The cabin has AC! The boathouse has fishing poles, beach toys, etc. Don't pack your fishing poles.. just your tackle box. Don't bring chairs for outdoors, there are plenty. Will save tons of room in your vehicle.
Tons of kayaks to use. The paddle boat works well. I connected an anchor to it that I found in the boathouse. Worked perfect for fishing in the deeper water. There was some firewood (I left some as well). Private beach is perfect for kids. The dock is perfect for fishing or watching the sunset. I caught a 15 inch bass right from the dock! Kitchen has tons of supplies. There are extra towels and a clothesline right out the door. A cool Monopoly game (Detroit edition) and old Disney movies if needed. Make sure you sit on the couch in the sunroom and watch the hummingbirds. The people on the lake are super friendly.
My wife and I hope to go back alone. đ

My family (my wife and two kids) stayed 4 days during the week. We have stayed at a few different properties using VRBO and other such entities. This was a great little cottage getaway and we had fun just âbeingâ. The cottage itself was nice and quaint and had a nice little beach, kayaks, paddle boat, and a dock to fish off of. We also used the paddle boat to do some fishing, which was nice not a ton of wind and a great haul of bass and small panfish. We caught some nice size fish off the dock but had more luck using the paddle boat. There is a grill, which we used each night, and a fire pit which we used some wood let from the previous guests, otherwise there are a few local places that firewood can be bought.
We got some groceries at small local grocer, which was approximately 10-15 minutes away.
Most of our days were spent lounging around outdoors, fishing, watching the kids swim, enjoying some of the olympics, kayaking, and relaxing in any way possible. We did have access to WiFi and the connectivity was mostly very good.
This is a great getaway if you truly want to getaway.
Shiela was very accommodating and checked in a couple times to see that we had all that we needed.
A huge benefit of this property was her willingness to allow pets, we brought our medium size dog and payed $100, which is significantly less than many of the kennels weâve used in the past to board.
I donât remember the listing designating the property as having air, but we were pleasantly surprised to see it had windows units. Though we didnât use it often as the temperatures were manageable during our stay. The cottage is warmer during the evening as it gets hit by the sun as the cottage sits on the eastern shore of Pretty Lake.
Our expectations were for a peaceful getaway that wasnât too terribly far from our west Michigan residence, and this fit the bill for us just right.
We had a perfect stay at Pretty Lake! The cottage is adorable and so close to the lake that the views are amazing. The lake is quiet and relaxing. We swam and enjoyed the use of the provided kayaks. We had hummingbird visitors all day everyday at the window feeder. The dock is new and very nice. Bed was comfortable, shower looked new, grill was newer. Handy camp store across street for basics. Sunsets were beautiful. Sheila is an amazing host. So friendly and willing to help or accommodate any request she could. Loved that we were able to bring our dog. Looking forward to a return stay to this cute little cottage.
The cabin was very comfortable and we really had everything we needed for our stay. On good weather days we enjoyed swimming, the fire pit, the grill etc. and on bad weather days we enjoyed books inside, board games, we found old VHS and DVD movies to watch in addition to cable available. Our college student appreciated the WIFI access because she had just started a new class. The host is very accommodating and friendly and supplies us with anything we short of. Highly recommend this place to stay if you are looking for a beach rental.
