About this property
Cabin on the Hill-Peaceful 1BR 20-Acre Rural Retreat-HotTub&WiFi near Asheville
The Cabin on the Hill at Clear Creek Cabins is one of four cabins, situated and landscaped for privacy, scattered about our 20 acre partially wooded property. The Cabin on the Hill has our best view (see photos). It is just inside the edge of the wooded portion of our 20 acre property. This allows for both a view from the covered porch and privacy afforded by the trees. There are woods behind the Cabin on the Hill for miles (not all ours!).
Cabin Features: The covered porch features rocking chairs, a hot tub, and an outdoor dining table. The cabin has a gas log fireplace, air conditioning, smart TV with DVD player, wifi, microwave, toaster, blender and coffee-maker. Linens, dishes, and kitchen utensils are provided. The cabin has an outside electric BBQ grill. The cabin is well prepared for the rare power outage, with a gas log fireplace for heat and a gas stove for cooking. There is a fire pit near the pond.
Area Activities: While many guests simply relax on the property for their entire stay, there is much to do in the area – hiking and waterfall viewing in state and national forests, a visit to Historic Hendersonville, dining at the many great area restaurants just a short drive away, visiting the many surrounding state and national parks and forests (Dupont, Pisgah, the Blue Ridge Parkway), and of course visiting the famous Biltmore Estate. Horseback riding is available in the area, as are visits to numerous wineries, and breweries, plus a cidery and meadery, many of which have live music and food trucks. Hiking locations are abundant. Spring and fall driving tours of our apple growing country side are available with many fruit stands to select from.
Surveillance device notice: We are in the process of adding cameras to our properties. Cameras are near stairs to the cabin and cover the stairs and parking space. Cameras record video. Additional cameras on our property cover portions of the road to the cabins (Wyatt Lane). Interior and hot tub areas are NOT covered.
The guest must sign a Vacation Rental Agreement, as required by NC law, within 24 hours of booking or the reservation will be canceled.

This cabin is a great get away for couples. The property has is beautiful and it’s located very close to chimney rock. Kaye is super helpful and made us feel right at home.
We loved our stay here! The cabin was very clean and well equipped with anything we need for the long weekend. We loved the location and seclusion of the cabin.
What a beautiful secluded place to get away and relax.
The cabin was very cute and clean. I loved the check in process. It was a nice secluded place to just kick back, relax, and enjoy nature. I loved the pond and the small hiking trail.
Cute and clean cabin in the woods. Very relaxing and peaceful. We would definitely visit again. We met one of the owners on the way out and he was very nice and polite.
Lovely setting! The cabin was perfect for our needs. Loved the privacy and the hot tub. The fireflies in the meadow at night were an amazing sight. We will be back.

Perfect getaway
We loved clear water cabins (cabin on the hill). It had everything we needed. Jacuzzi, supplied kitchen, comfy bed, TV and Wi-Fi. The surrounding areas had plenty of hiking and downtown Hendersonville was very easy and quick to get to. We would definitely recommend coming here!

I’m glad you enjoyed your stay! We love our location here at Clear Creek Cabins – in the middle of nowhere but close to everything!
Wasn’t the Bearwallow Mountain hike great? So much reward (views all around) with so little effort (1/2 mile hike to the top).
There is so much to do around here, depending on what your interests are. Lots of hiking, lots of good dining, wonderful scenery, wineries, breweries, cideries for tasting. Downtown Hendersonville, only 20 minutes away, is very charming with lots of interesting shops, and restaurants. Waterfalls to visit, parks to explore (Chimney Rock, Pisgah, Dupont), scenic drives to take. Zips lines, kayak trips. The famed Feed & Seed bluegrass venue is nearby in Fletcher. Live theater at the Flat Rock Playhouse mainstage in Flat Rock and the downtown Hendersonville stage as well. Plus all of the Asheville restaurants and music venues. And I’m sure I have left some things out!
We hope to see you again soon.
Great little cabin in a quiet and peaceful setting. Perfect size for 2 people and great location. Close to Asheville, Hendersonville, Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. We had a great time and hope to return soon. Thanks!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cabin on the hill. Husband surprised me with a trip for my birthday. Went on a lengthy hike at Dupont Forest and ended our day treating our worn out muscles in the hot tub. Amazing views and impeccable hospitality. Will definitely be back!
We really enjoyed our stay. Clean cabin, perfect hot tub, nice hiking trail on the property for short walk. Really nice view and quiet. The cabin is small, but perfect for us. One last reward to staying here was the drinking water was delicious. Must be well water.

Yes, it is well water. One guest said it was the best water he'd ever tasted! I am always amused when people bring bottled water with them.
About the host
Hosted by Kaye
The cabin is hosted by Kaye, the owner, who has lived in the area for more than twenty years. We provide the guest with information about local restaurants, hiking areas, local wineries, your cabin's amenities, and more (nearest grocery, scenic drives, etc). David is our expert on local farm products, curly willow wreaths, and fishing (and he grills up a great BBQ!). He has lived here for his entire life!
Why they chose this property
Our 20-acre partially wooded rural property is in an agricultural area amongst primarily apple orchards, a few peach orchards, and, increasingly, vineyards. We are centrally located East of historic Hendersonville, SouthEast of Asheville, and West of the Bat Cave/Chimney Rock/Lake Lure area (currently undergoing restoration). We are at the foot of Bearwallow Mountain which has hiking paths at the top. The property is partially wooded with a private hiking trail through the woods, a pond, and a picnic shed next to the pond with a fire pit. In back of the wooded portion of our property is a wooded area that extends for miles, adding to the serenity of our property. Fishing is available both in our pond and at Clear Creek – state trout waters that adjoin our property. We are surrounded by various types of recreational activities in our county and adjacent counties.
What makes this property unique
What do guests love about the Cabin on the Hill? The peace and quiet, the rural nature of the property yet still having easy access to surrounding towns and attractions, the view from the porch, the pond and private hiking trail, and, of course, their own hot tub.
