About this property

Exclusive Lake Front Home On Scenic Squam Lake with AC and Two Docks

Situated on a private lake-side peninsula with mountain views, our 4,000 square foot home provides a peaceful vacation escape.

The home was designed for entertaining and maximizing access to the outdoor beauty. A central living room with 20 foot floor to ceiling glass windows faces the lake and mountains. A large deck and lawn off the living room provide space for outdoor living. A spacious eat-in kitchen and informal dining room create an open feel. The bedrooms are located in a separate wing to ensure privacy.

Spend your morning on one of our three decks admiring the lake and mountain views while listening to the loon calls.

During the warm part of the day, access the lake from one of our two docks. One access point offers a gentle shallow slope into the lake, suitable for those that prefer just to get their toes wet. Squam Lake is known for the purity and clarity of its water.

Grill dinner outside and dine in the open air as the stars twinkle above this tranquil spot.

Our home sleeps twelve, with four bedrooms (2 Kings; 1 Queen; 1 California Queen) and an additional bunk room (2 sets of twin bunk beds). There are three full bathrooms and one half bath. We also have an outdoor shower.

Our home offers all the amenities of a traditional home including electric stoves, 2 microwaves, dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer, TVs, cable, Amazon FireTV, air conditioning, stereo, gas grill, high performance wireless Internet and a standby generator.

About the host

Host profile image
This house is a treasured part of our family, and we grew up spending summers by the lake swimming, sailing, kayaking and going on picnics. Our kids treasure it as much as we do, but given our busy school and summer schedules, we are looking to rent it selectively.

Why they chose this property

My parents built this house as a special retreat to get away for the noise and business of the city. It is a peaceful and serene house with amazing views of the lake and the mountains. It has been modernized since then to include cable TV and high speed Internet for those workaholics among us. But, for us, it really is a place to slow down, enjoy nature and focus on family.

What makes this property unique

The house is uniquely situated to provide the most amazing lake views with water on two sides. It is within yards of the lake and faces Red Hill which makes for gorgeous views during every season. Fall is particularly amazing as you can watch "Red Hill" live up to its name as the sun sets and illuminates the beautiful foliage.
