It’s a lovely historical style home, with so many adorable little features. There are 3 bedrooms with 3 queen (I think) size beds, so if you are hosting more than 6, I would recommend bringing an air mattress as stated before in another review. But there were plenty of towels, extra sheets, blankets, etc in the closets. All in all, it was a lovely experience and I do recommend it!!!

She actually deep cleans between each guest per my instructions! I also checked the doors right after your stay and I’m not sure why you think they didn’t close? They absolutely closed just fine when I went there. I wish you would have messaged me and we could have communicated and helped you out!

Misinformed

We fell in love with this property, and were so excited to see the cool features. We had 8 people and it advertised that it slept 9. Luckily my daughter went first and told us we would need to bring an air mattress because there were only 3 beds. I don't know how they are advertising that it sleeps 9 because we could only sleep one extra on the couch. I asked the host about this and they never responded. The hot tub was fun for the kids, and we loved the character of the place as well as the location. The only instructions we got were the door code. It was hard to know how to operate the air conditioning, and the upstairs rooms got really hot. Luckily there were a few fans. We weren't really sure what to do when we left. I highly recommend the place, as long as you only have 6 people.

I am born and raised in Ogden Utah, about 30min from this house. I am passionate about interior design, architecture, high efficiency and green energy and doing things well. I'm an avid world traveler and outdoorsman as well as competitive powerlifter and father of two wonderful kids. I love sharing our homes with guests that can appreciate the work and craftsmanship we put into them!

Why they chose this property

This was my wife's and I first home. We bought it in 2020 during the pandemic and went to work restoring and remodeling it, with no intention of using it as a short-term rental at the time. The neighborhood is upscale and right by downtown and capitol, very walking friendly and we loved the charm and huge sycamore trees everywhere!

What makes this property unique

Our property was remodeling and restored with no expenses spared. It has original cast iron radiators that provide the most comfortable heat, coffered ceiling and wainscot and chunky ornate molding throughout, radiant floors in the kitchen for warm feet, mahogany wood, copper and tin ceiling tiles, one of the bedrooms has a real gold leaf ceiling, it's been highly insulated and energy star efficient so it's comfortable and not drafty or old. You get all the charm and grandeur of a historic home with all of the creature comforts, amenities and conveniences of a luxury modern home.
