The Glamper at White Oak Stables sits on a 24 acre horse farm and shares space with a gaggle of barnyard characters.
White Oak is home to many horses, from miniature ponies to giant drafts. A gang of mischievous goats, a rescued donkey, a strange Alpaca and a dwarf mini-horse named "Little Debbie" also call this place home.
It’s not uncommon to find any of these animals roaming freely around the property. This is their home and they happily welcome all visitors.
Located 15 minutes from downtown North Wilkesboro in the Brushy Mountains....
The Glamper has all the luxury of a traditional home, plus an outdoor kitchen with spacious patio, perfect for grilling and campfires.
Inside hosts an open kitchen, dining and living space with a stainless sink, gas stove, large pantry, fridge/freezer combo, fireplace and TVs for movie nights.
The Glamour's best feature is the wall of West facing windows that look out onto the front pasture. In the mornings, drink coffee and watch the horses. In the evenings, drink wine and watch the sunset.
Upstairs, the master suite has a queen sized bed, large shower, independent A/C unit and plenty of storage.
A huge bunk room and 1/2 bath are just off the main living space. Nothing cramped about this bunkhouse layout. Top bunks have windows with views of the animals. Bottom bunk is a quiet cozy spot for a sleeping adult or kid.
While you're at White Oak, we encourage guests to take full advantage of our awesome property.

However, it is very important that we be upfront about what you can expect during your stay here.
Part of living on a working farm, is being comfortable with animals, their sounds and their smells. If you are not, this may not be the best fit.
The Glamper has all the amenities and space of a tiny house, but it is not a traditional sticks and bricks structure. The walls are thinner and outdoor sounds may be more noticeable.
Depending on the season, temps in our area range from 32* - 95* degrees. The Glamper has 2 A/C units plus propane and electric heat. But again..it is not a traditional system and can struggle to keep up in extreme heat or cold. Also, windows may sweat & leaks (though not common) can happen.
Please check the weather in our area prior to booking.

Jess & family were very welcoming. The location was perfectly rural but close enough to go grab some coffee in town! The animals are all awesome & well-mannered (even shy Fred) and we were giving a treat bag to give them as we strolled the grounds. We will be back with the kids
