Location, location, location! This is one of the only properties I could find that has direct access with no stairs to the lake, which was amazing. Tucked away on a dead road and it’s so quiet and peaceful.

What an amazing way to celebrate our anniversary! The property was EVERYTHING we needed to enjoy a relaxing weekend away! We loved every moment. The host was great to work with and so prompt to respond to all of our inquiries. The view from the covered porch and everywhere in the yard was amazing and so soothing to my soul.

Overall was good-the house was clean and we enjoyed the stay. Host very fast to respond also. The only downside is that they had only 2 kayaks not 3 as listed. Also the shower drain was very slow.

This was the second time we've stayed at this location; we enjoyed both times. The cottage is clean and comfortable but the kitchen is very small (barely fits 2 people to do meal prep). The location is fine (totally flat; good nearby wineries, fantastic sunsets over the lake)

This is our second time staying at this cottage, and we would happily return again. The access to the water is amazing here, better than any other property at which I have stayed on Seneca Lake. Great outdoor area with fire pit and Adirondack chairs. The cottage itself is comfortable and well equipped. John was great to deal with as well.

The property was just as described, and the flat level yard was wonderful with many beautiful sunsets. It is on a quiet dead end street that leads directly to a walking trail to Sampson State Park which is convenient for launching your boat. If you are not familiar with the area, Seneca Lake can go from calm to rough very fast and the wind direction changes often so you may want to consider taking your boat out each night. The beach area is nice and get deep gradually so good for children but be sure to bring your water shoes as it is rocky vs sand/dirt. No weeds though!!The location is awesome since it is very close to many wineries, plus some distilleries and breweries. While there is not a grocery store nearby (which the host let us know - thank you!) there is a Dollar General very close plus business which sells many produce items (seasonally), honey, pies, etc.The only downside was the cleanliness (mostly) of the dishes. Since there is no dishwasher (which we knew and were fine with), the cleanliness of the dishes relies on the last renters, so I am sure each renter gets a very different experience. We had to essentially wash all dishes before using.

great jumping -off point for exploring the Finger Lakes

as long as you don't mind doing the dishes, this is a great location for a Finger lakes vacation. Old-time cottage feel- nothing too fancy, but immediate access to walking and biking in Sampson State park, as well as being a short drive to both Ithaca and Watkin's Glen.

All the comforts of home

Awesome location. We fished all day in the wind and rain. It's nice to come back and take a hot shower, relax with all the comforts of home, and enjoy an awesome sunset after two days of clouds.
