About the host

Hosted by Whitman Vacations

Host profile image
My wife Traci and I love hosting because it gives us the opportunity to share one of our favorite places with guests from all over. We take pride in creating clean, comfortable, well-cared-for homes where guests can relax, reconnect, and enjoy everything St. Augustine has to offer.

We enjoy historic neighborhoods, great restaurants, beach days, walking through the city, and finding those small local spots that make a trip memorable. As hosts, we try to be available when needed while also giving guests the privacy and space to enjoy their stay.

Our goal is simple: provide a welcoming home base that feels easy, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared from the moment you arrive.

Why they chose this property

We chose this neighborhood because it captures everything we love about historic St. Augustine. It is charming, walkable, and full of character, with beautiful historic homes, quiet streets, and the feeling of being tucked into the heart of the city.

The location is hard to beat. Guests can walk to Castillo de San Marcos, St. George Street, the Colonial Quarter, restaurants, shops, museums, trolley stops, and the waterfront without needing to rely on a car. At the same time, the cottage feels peaceful and residential, which makes it a wonderful place to return to after a day of exploring.

We love that guests can experience the energy of downtown St. Augustine while still enjoying the comfort of a quaint historic neighborhood.

What makes this property unique

What makes this property special is the combination of historic charm, modern comfort, and an unbeatable walkable location. The cottage has the character guests hope for in St. Augustine, but with updated finishes, comfortable furnishings, Smart TVs, a fully equipped kitchen, off-street parking, and thoughtful touches throughout.

The outdoor space also makes the property stand out. Guests can relax in the fenced yard, enjoy the porch, gather around the outdoor seating areas, or cook on the BBQ grill after a day downtown or at the beach.

The cottage is part of a small five-home vacation rental community, which gives it a unique feel. Each cottage is private, but the shared outdoor spaces make it a great option for families, friends, or larger groups who may want to reserve multiple homes while still having their own separate space.
