The house, which opened in 2010, is built on one of the last available sites in the old town of Begur, is 5 minutes from downtown and at the same time enjoying 600m2 of land equipped with porch, lawn and pool perfectly oriented to the Mediterranean. The house style is a blend of contemporary lines solved with technology and materials. Environmentally friendly, using organic materials, and home automation systems to ensure maximum comfort. It features a bedroom suite with Jacuzzi tub and shower room with a big window facing the Mediterranean. Two rooms with shared bathroom also overlooking the sea and the castle. And fourth room free to the main body of the house with a window looking at the bottom of the pool. The kitchen dining room is set in a single room under a massive dome-shaped cover Catalan. You can park up to 4 cars. Fully exposed to the sun.

Wonderful Stay

We enjoyed our stay in Begur! It was off- season but the close access to the trails allowed us to experience Begur’s beauty. It was also nice to be so close to town. The ocean view was also a plus! Thanks!

Perfect family base

We’ve had a wonderful week. The house was well equipped for a family - incredible views of the sea - and great being able to walk into Begur easily. Such a great town with lots of shops and restaurants. We are hoping to come back one day!

Property was delightful and suited us fine. The "Bunker Room" which we didn't use was rankly bizarre and I don't think the listing made it clear that it was effectively under the swimming pool and did not have an outside window.Clearly this did not affect our stay but might have had we invited another guest(s). Also as far as the listing was concerned we felt that parking for four cars was not realistic. Here again we were not affected but could have been if we had ad another guest

Très belle maison, avec une vue extraordinaire sur les collines et la mer. Piscine, tout aménagé et prévu. Très bien équipée à l'exception du parking seulement pour une voiture. La maison est grande, lumineuse, moderne, propre, et on y trouve tout ce dont on peut avoir besoin. Le jardin, avec BBQ (il y a tout) est très agréable, propre et bien équipé. A 10 minutes à pied (montées et descentes) du centre du Bégur.

Complete Relaxation in an idyllic spot

We absolutely loved our stay at La Volta. The house is beautifully designed and tastefully decorated. Every detail and space has been carefully designed for beauty and comfort. We felt at home here and found everything we needed for our stay. Valeria was were very helpful and responsive and swiftly helped when we had any question that was not explained in their house guidebook. The location is excellent because it is very close to the center of Begur, but far enough to feel like you are far from the crowds. We hope to go back soon!

Excellent villa.

This is an excellent villa, actually much better in reality than described. There was the most beautiful views from the many very large windows. There is everything one needs for cooking etc. The rooms were very homely and welcoming. The villa was extremely clean. The owner is very friendly and helpful. It is just 5 minutes walk to the centre of Begur, which is a lovely place with many restaurants and cafes etc. We will definately be returning to this villa. If I were to design a villa, it would be exactly the same as this one.

Fantastic House nicely located in Begur with sea view, We appreciated the contacts per mail and phone to arrange our arrival, We had very good time inside or outside, thanks to the good equipments and also perfectly maintained. We enjoyed side seeing around this lovely region, specially the Dali museum , Pals and Pubol Looking forwards to coming back !

We loved our stay at La Volta. It was exactly what we expected and matched the description of layout and proximity to the village with great accuaracy.The house was immaculate. The housekeeper and pool/lawn maintenance was perfect. I appreciated the well appointed furnishings in all of the rooms including the kitchen and laundry room. The communication with the owner and manager was very good. There was an air conditioner malfunction and they worked on as soon as they knew it was not working. I would recommend turning the air on a couple of hours before the guest check in to avoid this in the future. Eva was also a fantastic contact for places to visit, eat and tour in both Begur and Barcelona! Our family really appreciated the beautiful detail that the architecture put into the house as far as design, function and energy sustainability. I would stay here again!

I have spent weekends and holidays in Begur since I was born as my parents had a house here from the 60s. I know every corner of this town and its surroundings.
Now I come with my wife, our two daughters and our dog, in summer or winter, to enjoy one of the most beautiful places in Catalonia.

We love that you stay in our house and that is why we want you to feel it like yours. Enjoy it as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

As an architect, I designed the house in 2009.
I've called it "La Volta" because I used the same technique that the ancient Catalans used in their vaulted ceilings "la volta catalana".
I have always dreamed of building a house like this. This is what makes this house special: everything is projected in its smallest details, giving priority to functionality and comfort. That's why you'll love La Volta. You will feel at home in a wonderful environment.

La Volta is one of the few villas with a pool in the center of Begur and overlooking the sea.
It is located a few kilometers from the most beautiful beaches of the Catalan coast.
