Welcome to this peaceful cabin, nestled on the edge of the Lincoln National Forest, just 4 miles outside of Cloudcroft.
Please note * This is an OFF-GRID cabin. STAIRS are 12 steps up to the bedrooms, with a Composting Toilet type restroom located on the first floor. NO TRAILERS OR RV’s as there is not a turn around.
This lovely retreat features 2 cozy bedrooms with one queen bed and 3 twin size beds, perfect for a relaxing getaway with friends and/or family. With propane heating or a wood fireplace available, guests can relax in the comfortable living space indoors or enjoy the propane fire pit on the balcony while overlooking the forest. Enjoy your morning coffee while looking for wildlife and birdwatching. *Unplugged/Off-Grid/ Solar power with Generator backup * No phone service/ Wi-Fi available for Wi-Fi Calling * Smart TV * Mountain gravel road (Oct thru Apr: Four-Wheel-Drive may be required) * Faucet water is from catch system. Bottled water is provided. * Composting toilet with easy-to-follow instructions * Freestyle forestry hiking

We loved the place! The cabin was sweet, clean and well equipped!The patio with propane fire pit was wonderful. It did get a little warm in bedroom, upstairs, as there is no air-conditioning..just FYI.Host was great to communicate with!

It was a wonderful stay. Only wish it could have been longer for us. Awesome mountain tree view. Hummingbirds and other pretty birds. Saw an elk. Just beware - NO Cell Phone Service - Until you get onto the WiFi. It was fun trying to meet up with other family in the area . Definitely want to plan on staying again and hopefully several more times.

Very nice little cabin just a few miles outside of Cloudcroft which we were looking for - lots of peace and quiet. Back of cabin had a lot of the biggest and most beautiful blue birds we had ever seen. Check in was a breeze - enjoyed our stay!

Great rustic cabin, very quiet location up a 1 lane private track. Near to cloudcroft. Had a great 1 day/2 night stay. Breakfast provided, which was nice (eggs, sausage, pancake mix). Slept our family of six easily. My kids got a kick out of the composting toilet. I’d stay again.

Fantastic host!

This is a cool off the grid cabin in the NM mountains. Birds, elk, squirrels, and humming birds. Check in is very easy. There is a gate with a remote to get to a forest road.

We had a great time here with our dogs. It’s nestled in a secluded area, with just one other cabin around. Yet it was only about a 5 - 7 min drive to Cloudcroft. We loved the outdoor fire pit in the balcony. It was also nice for bird watching. There were bird feeders and feed for them. We saw some blue jays and hummingbirds. Very tranquil environment. We loved that they provided everything for us from wifi to firewood to bottled water and even breakfast and snacks! The compost toilet was a small inconvenience but was odorless and nice that they’re thinking of environmentally sound ways to deal with waste. Rebecca was also very responsive. Our only suggestion would maybe be some softer lighting in the living room for the evening. We would definitely stay again.

Very cute and cozy. Clean and simple.Tons of amenities.Becky and husband went over and beyond making sure our stay was comfortable.Road-driveway a little freaky with the high side drop , but TG wasn’t muddy and no incidents.Highly recommend this cabin. Only regret was staying 1night, as would have like to explore some of the trails and the lower firepit.Thx Becky.

Absolutely magical! This cabin in the woods was the perfect mountain getaway for our family. The peaceful surroundings and stunning views made it feel like we were in our own private slice of nature. Our kids were completely captivated by the birds—especially the hummingbirds who put on quite the show as they zipped around and playfully fought over the feeder!The hosts were truly wonderful—welcoming, thoughtful.Whether you're sipping coffee on the deck, listening to the wind through the trees, or simply soaking in the stillness, this cabin offers the kind of serenity that’s hard to find. A perfect place to disconnect, recharge, and enjoy the beauty of the mountains. We can’t wait to come back!

Hosts were great! Communication and instructions were very clear. They were kind and gracious. The property was absolutely beautiful. We loved the humming birds. I particularly appreciated having a cast iron to cook with and having ingredients for a breakfast was so helpful as the grocery selection in Cloudcroft was not what we were use to. The composting toilet was a little bit of a surprise to us but was easy to figure out with the instructions. Overall was a great experience.
