Appreciated the clean and modern apartment in a historic area. Very walkable to downtown and sightseeing. Had all the basics to live comfortably for our 4 night stay.
The cleanliness and location made this a great pick for our first trip to St John’s. The downtown area and many attractions are within walking distance….just beware of the climb back up the hill!
Awesome Jelly Bean Row apartment in the heart of central downtown. Great walking location with the bonus of a full living room, separate bedroom, kitchen and full size washer & dryer. A great place to stay in St. John's.
The location is perfect. Very clean and quiet, the bedroom is out the back of the house so we heard nothing from the street in the evenings. Walking distance to all of down town and the harbour. Plenty of dinning options with in a 10 min walk. We loved St John’s and would recommend this place for sure.
Central location in downtown, easy to walk to amenities. Place was clean and tidy. Only downfall was a miscommunication in an access code change that we were not informed of which left us sitting in front of the place waiting for information on how to get in. All the rest was great!
Great place. Walking distance to all the downtown stores, pubs, and entertainment. We even walked to Signal Hill and Quidi Vidi. Highly recommend. Host was helpful and friendly. Stocked with key items. Washer and dryer was a real plus.
We stayed 3 nights at the tail end of our Newfoundland trip and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We were a bit worn out from the trip and were happy upon arrival to a clean and comfortable apartment. Check-in was simple and the provided parking pass was great for finding a close spot for our rental car. We appreciated the apartment's central location and were able to walk to all shops/restaurants we visited in under 15 minutes (most were under 5!) - and the quick 10 minute drive to the airport was great for our early morning flight!
Location was perfect easy to get everywhere we wanted walking and driving. Parking was easy there was always a spot in front of our place, I was worried as this was our first trip to St John’s but it was never a problem anywhere to find parking. Apartment was spotless. Host was quick to respond to any questions. The pull out couch bed was not comfortable for sleeping, but the 2 little kids that slept on it never complained. Highly recommend this place.
Incredible location, wonderful suite! Upgraded kitchen from posted photos. Very comfortable and quaint spacious bedroom and living space; firm and comfy bed with great pillows. Convenient washer/dryer and a lovely bathroom. Very tidy and clean unit. Excellent communication by host. Parking was very convenient in front of unit. A 5-10 min walk to the Bagel Cafe and 10 min to all sorts of restaurants on Water Street. I highly recommend this suite for your stay in St Johns.
We booked this property last minute as the previous property cancelled our booking but everything is for a reason as it was amazing. The property was really large with a sociable kitchen space and plenty of room to cook and eat. The house was beautifully furnished with a really comfortable bed. It was cold outside when we arrived but there was heating which was set at a really nice temperature. The location is fantastic and a short walk to Duckworth Street and George Street. There was parking on the road outside with the provided permit. We are coming back to St John’s and this will be where we will book to stay as it was outstanding.
everything was as expected, which worked out perfectly. My only thought or feedback, as it was in the middle of the summer even though Newfoundland is far north, it would have been nice to have a small window a/c. my parents had one in their VRBO. The sleeps were a tad uncomfortable and with an A/C that lowered the temp by several degrees would have helped. Then of course with the windows all open I hear neighbor noises which didn't help the sleep. Overall very good. Cheers
Highly recommended! This was my second time staying at this property. Previously I stayed in the second floor unit, which was a good experience. This time we opted for the main floor unit, which has it own door to the street as well as access to a small back yard. The apartment was very clean. It had everything we needed: a comfy queen bed, great shower, in suite laundry and adequate kitchen facilities for basic meal prep (if you choose to do any). All of the main pubs and restaurants are within a 10 minute walk. Central to all St John's attractions. Street parking is readily available.
We stayed at this property twice during our trip to Newfoundland, both at the beginning and the end.It is a spacious 1 bedroom apartment, with a nice living room with TV/Cable, a spacious bedroom, modern renovated bathroom, and well-equiped kitchen with lots of useful little extras provided like coffee, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, and even pods for the modern washing machine. A parking pass was provided for street parking which was easy to find. It's well situated in the famous "Jellybean Row" area, just one block from shops/restaurants on Duckworth Street, two from others on Water Street, and a ten minute walk to the famous George street pubs and restaurants. The host (John) was very responsive and easy to deal with. When there was a small issue with the drain in the bathub, I sent a message in the app and it was fixed the next day.The only small negative, is that you can sometimes hear footsteps from the people in the 2nd floor apartment which is not uncommon in these older apartments, but really didn't bother us.
Nous y avons passé 4 nuits et tout était parfait !Maison historique, tout le monde veut la photographier Bien situé. Nous avons très bien dormi dans le silence malgré que nous sommes en pleine ville !Nous la recommandons fortement !!!
