The Space:

Quiet mountain air greets you as you step onto the deck, the scent of pine mingling with the faint crackle of a fire pit ready for evening gatherings. Inside, the open living area invites you to unwind on plush sofas while the Smart TV flickers with your favorite shows, and the gentle hum of the heating or air conditioning keeps the cabin comfortable no matter the weather. Outside, the hot tub bubbles under a canopy of trees, offering a soothing retreat after a day of exploring the hills of Romney.

Sleeping arrangements

- Upper‑level bedroom with a king bed

- Main‑level bedroom with two queen beds

- Lower‑level game room with a twin day bed, perfect for kids or extra guests

- One full bathroom serves the entire cabin

Kitchen & dining

A fully equipped kitchen provides everything needed for simple breakfasts or hearty dinners, and the adjacent dining area offers ample space for meals, board games, or relaxed conversation.

Indoor entertainment

The lower‑level game room is stocked with children’s books, toys, and board games, creating a lively spot for families to play and bond when the weather keeps you inside. A Smart TV and reliable WiFi (though occasional spotty service is possible in this remote setting) keep you connected for streaming or video calls.

Outdoor living

Multiple decks overlook the private, wooded acreage, giving you room to breathe in the mountain scenery. A fire pit invites crisp evenings of marshmallow roasting, while the hot tub offers warm relief after hiking or sightseeing. A grill and outdoor seating are ready for al fresco meals when the weather permits.

Neighborhood & nearby attractions

A short drive brings you to the town of Romney, where local shops and restaurants await. Within easy reach are state parks, scenic railroads, rivers, and mountain destinations such as Timberline Mountain and Canaan Valley Ski Resort, offering year‑round recreation from hiking to winter sports.

Pet policy & practical notes

The cabin is pet‑friendly for dogs; cats are not allowed. Quiet hours are observed per HOA guidelines, and the fire pit must be attended while in use and fully extinguished afterward. Heating and air conditioning keep the interior comfortable, and the cleaning team sweeps decks, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, though natural elements like leaves or pollen may still be present.

Whether you seek a winter escape with cozy evenings, a summer adventure among the trees, or simply a peaceful place to gather with family and your dog, this Romney cabin provides a welcoming, comfortable home base for your mountain getaway.

I live in DC with my wife and three young kids. I love camping/hiking, drinking (and sometimes brewing) great beer and wine, exploring new restaurants and shops, and traveling all over.

Why they chose this property

We spent years searching for the perfect getaway, and wanted to be close enough to DC that we could do a day trip. We fell in love with the area – and this cabin in particular. We love how cute and cozy our cabin is, and all the fun outdoor activities we can enjoy year-round. :)
