We enjoyed our family weekend at the cabin. Everyone enjoyed the fire on a cold day in January. Plenty of room for everyone at the large table for meals. The younger folks explored the property and the small one the playground. The cabin is larger inside that it appears from outside. It was also convenient to our elderly In-laws we came to visit.
Everything was great for our 3 night stay. Kitchen is well provisioned and we especially liked the cleared out field on property. Fantastic view off the deck. Recommended.
Very nice, private cabin located within the proximity of many outdoor attractions. The bedrooms were nice and each had an individual AC unit. The kitchen is well stocked with functional appliances and cookware. Overall excellent property that we would definitely book again.
If you're looking for a break from city life, this is the place for you. The views are nice and there is plenty of outdoor space to relax, walk, campfire, etc. We spent a nice weekend with friends here.

We're so glad that you enjoyed your respite from the city! The cabin is beautiful in every season and we'd love to welcome you back!
Grace's cabin is the nicest vacation rental I've stayed in. Everything, and I mean everything was well thought through. The kitchen was well stocked, the knives were sharp, there were toys and games for the kids plus a swingset outside, they even had toys, beds and towels for the dogs! This is definitely one we'll come back to!
Plenty of room for the entire family and the dog at this well organized, appointed, and clean cabin. Almost everything you could want is provided by the owner and the private gated community is quiet beyond belief. If you are looking for a real break from the city you will not be disappointed.

Thank you, Patrick. We are glad you were able to relax and enjoy nature during your stay.
We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. It was even nicer than the pictures suggested, with plenty of room for the whole family. We especially enjoyed morning coffee on the deck overlooking the mountains, hiking around the property by day, and huge fires in the firepit at night. Took a day trip to Davis and Thomas and enjoyed the towns and the fall foliage along the way. Thanks so much Grace, we can't wait to come back!

The cabin is wonderful in every season but especially in Fall. We're so glad you got to experience the rustic serenity and some of the area attractions! Please do come back!
We had a great time! Our families enjoyed being able to relax and play on your beautiful property. The kids spent hours on the play set, and the adults spent hours relaxing on the deck. Thank you so much! We had a wonderful time, and hope to visit again next year.

We are so happy to hear this, Isaac. It is an excellent spot for multi-generational gatherings! You left the cabin in such perfect shape--
We would love to have you back.
We've stayed in quite a few cabins in eastern and southern West Virginia and this was one of the best. For me the privacy was the best part. It's in a beautiful part of West Virginia and close to a lot of things to do. The grandkids could get out and play without worrying about bothering neighbors. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The cabin was as advertised. The kitchen was stocked well with cookware and spices. The check in process was very simple. The Potomac scenic railroad is about 30 minutes away. It was a beautiful time of year with the fall colors to take the train through the Trough.
This wonderful cabin was perfect for us to escape the everyday world. We felt like we were truly away from the hustle bustle of Metropolitan living. The serene and scenic views from the deck (and dining room) was a favorite of ours. The owners could not have been more kind. Enjoy! We did!

We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay. We hope you consider returning to experience other seasons at the Cabin!
If you are looking to get away for some peace and quiet, this is the ideal place for you! The cabin is well maintained and clean (no signs from other dogs) and situated in a huge gated community, but far from the neighbors. Woodland surrounds the home. We loved the wildlife and saw hummingbirds on the deck each night. The views from the deck were fantastic! Our dog loved every moment too, so many areas to walk and roam.
Grace, the owner, was very attentive and even emailed to check in on us. We loved our stay.
We enjoyed staying here for a belated 40th anniversary getaway. The property is beautiful and private. I especially enjoyed sitting on the back deck under the covered porch watching the mamma and pappa bluebird nesting in the birdhouse while enjoying the mountain view! Our first 2 days were very warm (96 degrees!!) but the downstairs bedrooms and living room were cool. The cabin was well stocked and the owner Grace was wonderful and helpful!

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. The bluebirds and hummingbirds are so entertaining! We'd love to have you back in another season!
The property was just as listed and delivered beyond our expectations.
The property owner provided us with detailed information prior to our arrival and was available regarding any questions we may have during our stay.
There was plenty of time to relax and take in the surroundings as well as share quality family time.
I don't think we watched television during our entire stay. Although it wasn't a lack of availability by the property owners.
We just had great weather, food and family.
We would absolutely stay there again.
Better than advertised. Everything we needed they had. When you walk out the door there was no noise. Not used to that. Veiws were stunning. Saw all kinds of deer. Put some sugar water in the hummingbird feeders and had a couple of hummingbirds frequent them. Thanks for allowing us to stay at your hime.
Not only is Grace an amazing hostess and thought of everything, that is just the beginning.
The property is beautiful with amazing views and walking paths. Very accessible to shopping in “town” 10-12 min to groceries, wal-mart, etc.
Plenty of room to pick your preferred place to sleep. Want to sleep in the walk out basement bedrooms, you can… loft, sure… main floor, of course, on the deck, why not… hammock in the woods, it sure is quiet so go for it.
Not only have they thought of everything, there is endless entertainment for everyone and beautiful views off the deck. There is absolutely no noise from anyone except yourself.
We had an absolutely amazing time and plan to come back again and again.
I forgot to mention, you can bring your dog and well… 🐾🐾🐾🐾♥️♥️♥️♥️

We are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay. The deck is so lovely with hummingbirds, bluebirds and the view of the mountains. We are so happy that you plan to return. The cabin is beautiful in every season!
Grace was an amazing host and the property was gorgeous! My wife, two dogs, and I has an absolutely amazing time at Grace's cabin. From relaxing around the fire pit or back deck enjoining the beautiful mountain views or taking our dogs to the river to splash around in the water, this trip was everything we expected and more. Grace is a great host, she provides great advice on local amenities and locations to see. She was very responsive to any questions we had before and during our stay. Overall, we cannot say enough about Grace and the cabin. Very happy!
While living in Washington, DC, our family (especially our dog!) fell in love with the beauty of West Virginia. We purchased this property and built our cabin almost 20 years ago and are looking forward to sharing it with you!
Why they chose this property
This property is magical. There is something for everyone: a play set, games and more for kids; comfy chairs and multiple areas for relaxation for the grown ups; campfire area, mountain bike and hiking trails, smoker and grill, hammock. In the summer there is a gorgeous river for swimming and streams for wading nearby.
What makes this property unique
As you enter the driveway, you immediately begin to relax. Take a deep breath of mountain air as you round the gentle curves and finally arrive at the snug little cabin that will be your home for the next few days. Good vibes--you will feel them! Every season has its own beauty. Come back over and over to enjoy throughout the year!
