Nice folks like Maureen and Bill really seem to appreciate this home away from home when they are visiting family in our area.
In town for our grandsons graduation. Probably the hottest week of the year. A/C was working overtime but managed to keep us cool at night. Was nice to have washer and dryer to use, beats the heck out of a hotel.
We enjoyed our week stay at the cottage. It was perfect for our needs: clean, well equipped , cozy, and the huge bonus—only 50 yards from our son’s home so it couldn’t have been more convenient for constant interaction with our four grandkids! Thank you.

Many of our renters are transitioning between homes and jobs. Christina came from Texas. While She waited here to access her new home she was greeted by a classic Northeast snow storm. The price we pay for a great Spring, Summer and Fall.

Easy Access and good location
Rental was clean, comfortable and easily accessible. It was set up for 2 people with everything we needed. Fully equipped kitchen, washer, drier. The small house appeared to have been recently renovated. It was ideal for our purposes. We ate out at dinner at several excellent restaurants in the area.

I try to say hello to all my renters when they move in but in this case Jim and I never met. We set the door lock with his own personal pass code and before I knew it his week stay was complete and he had checked out. Maybe next time, Jim. Glad the stay worked out for you.

Quaint and very clean little cottage
This was about as nice as you can get for the area. This little cottage is detached from the main house so you can come and go as you need without disturbing anyone else and it has everything you need; the range and microwave are like new and having a washer and dryer in the basement is a big plus. David will do whatever he can do to make your stay is as comfortable and hassle free as possible. I recommend this place to anyone not wanting to be in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the big cities.

Chris was a Global Foundries work visitor from Arizona that stayed at our place for several months. I know he appreciated the front door being so close to his car during this past winter.
Upon Entering the building, the fragrance from the cleaning products were overwhelming. The family members that were traveling with me are very sensitive to these smells. We travel several times a year and find that this is common. Suggestion might be to use a fragrant free product.

June, Thank you for the 5 Stars and the tip. Cleanliness is so important these days so we don't spare on the product. And allergies are so prevalent too. The exact reason we don't allow pets or smoking. I'll look into the scentless cleaners.
This was a very clean mini-house with all the trimmings of a comfortable stay for a week or more for inlaws or family from out of town. Our family stayed here for a week and we wanted them to stay longer but couldn't get the booking in time. If you are looking for a place to house extended family, this is the perfect house in the capital region.
This property beats staying in a hotel. Owner is very amiable, and quick to respond to any question. The washer and dryer is a very nice amenity. I would stay here again.
David terrific. Place was perfect for me,was a good time of year to visit

We loved the cozy cottage! An adorable home with every amenity you could ask for! A very peaceful location, with a nice little store, bakery, and restaurant within walking distance. We throughly enjoyed our stay, and the privacy of this adorable little home! Dave was great, and more than accommodating to our needs! We will definitely be back again😊
Response from VrboOwner on 4 Apr 2020
Mike and Christina great folks. Sold their nearby house but needed some more time to finish the deal so they stayed in the cottage. Now off to sunny Florida and I'm a little jealous. Wow, left some nice things behind for the next renters. Very kind. Best Regards.

Perfect Cottage
I was looking for temporary housing until my apartment in the area became available, and I couldn't have asked for a better place! The cottage is extremely clean and has anything you can possibly need. I was there for a month and there's not many places like this where you can get a full kitchen and washer and dryer. The landlord, David, was excellent! Very friendly and was there to help accommodate you in every way possible. I'd definitely recommend this cottage, and stay again!

Rental in Burnt Hills, NY
We spent a month in this rental and we especially enjoyed the proximity to Saratoga Springs. Very convenient for groceries, restaurants, etc. Rental was very clean and having a washer and dryer in the basement was great.
Wifi worked well and very quiet location. The only suggestion we would have is to update the linens. Had a great month there. The owner was very easy to talk with and he followed through with everything.

Gene And Barbara are very nice folks that seem to be the prototypical reverse snow birds we see here in the summer. Good advice appreciated about the linens and we will make an upgrade there. Best Regards and safe travels to Gene and Barb.

Quiet Comfortable Stay in Historic Ballston
Our month passed quickly, pleasantly, and comfortably as we genuinely enjoyed our stay necessitated by home renovation.
The residence was exactly as pictured and described. The landlord was courteous, amazingly helpful, and exceedingly pleasant to deal with. We heartily recommend this property to anyone desiring a place to stay and have already done so to friends and relations.
Although a car is useful for transportation, many services and activities are located within walking distance including bus connections. The cottage location is conveniently close to Capital Region universities; technology centers; museums of racing, dance, and more; cultural centers such as Proctors Theater, Troy Music Hall, Saratoga Performing Arts Center, and others; and sports activities: Saratoga Race Course, collegiate sports, and many golf courses

Tom and Ann live one town away but needed a place while their house was being renovated. They Stayed for a month. They left the place immaculate and like we encourage folks to do, they left a few things behind like soaps and spices for the next renters.

Great place. Perfect for working travel. Close proximity to anything you'd need.
I often travel for extended periods of time for work. (Usually unknown amouts of extended time due to the type of work.) I was on the lookout for a place that didn't share walls with neighbors i.e. hotel, apartments, condos. I also was trying to find a place that allowed a month-to-month style lease agreement, not the easiest thing to find, when this gem of a residence popped up.
It is big enough to escape the crampy hotel feel, has private parking right outside the front door (a welcome escape from the hassle of parking lot/structure/on-street parking,) and is nestled in a quiet area. It worked perfectly for me because of it's proximity to work (15 mins. KAPL)
It's a short drive to gas stations, restaurants, grocery stores, or downtown. The owner has recently renovated the inside to include new walls, new floors, new kitchen appliances, and a new bathroom. I felt lucky to find this place.
The owner was a very accomodating landlord. Although I didn't have any problems with the place, he made clear that he was available if need be.
I you are looking for a reasonably sized and easily accessible guest house, I would recommend this house. It has all of the amenities of home and none of the hassles or red tape associated with most apartment complexes. Comfortable, cozy, and clean. Like i said, perfect for this work traveler who is unsure of how long each assignment will be.
Response from VrboOwner on 4 Apr 2020
Josh was a short term KAPL (Niskayuna) worker from South Carolina. Stay for a couple months until he was transferred.
About the host
Hosted by David Nuzzi
I grew up on this property. Left for several years then my wife and I bought it from my mother in 1995. I own my own small sign company and this is our only rental. My wife and I live next door.
Why they chose this property
I own a business which requires travel and living out of suitcases for one or two weeks at a time. I started renting places for my work travel from VRBO. I found they were more comfortable than motels and typically less expensive. So we have modeled this cottage into a home from home. With some real experience and insight on what travelers might like, we hope you get a chance to enjoy our place.
What makes this property unique
Very private. Quiet families live on either side. It's so nice to have the parking right at the front door. Skip the hotel and enjoy a home away from home.
