Buck Horn Lodge Private Residence at 3800' w/ sunset views of Maggie Valley, NC
**January-February: Weather conditions may affect availability** Buck Horn Lodge is located at 3800' above Maggie Valley with spectacular views of downtown Maggie Valley as well as near and distant mountains. The secluded home is furnished with everything you need for a relaxed vacation.
In the kitchen there's a range, refrigerator w/ice maker, microwave, blender, toaster, Keurig & coffee pot w/filters, toaster oven, toaster, lots of pots and pans, dishes and silverware.
The large dining room table seats 8 and there's a table on the deck for outside meals. Also on the deck are 6 rocking chairs for reading, morning coffee, or afternoon relaxing. The night time view of the valley with the lights is spectacular.
The living room features a large fireplace (firewood is furnished), 2 leather recliners, a love seat leather recliner, two Lazy Boy recliners, and a smart tv. WIFI is provided. You can log into your streaming services on all televisions in the house.
This home is NOT motorcycle friendly due to the curves and rough gravel.
Featuring a large Master Bedroom with it's own private deck. You can enjoy your morning coffee in the King size bed and watch the birds, squirrels, and chipmunks play on the deck. There are hummingbird feeders with lots of hummingbirds flying back and forth feeding. In the evening you can retreat to the bedroom and enjoy the electric fireplace, watch TV, or enjoy the view of downtown Maggie Valley at night. The Master Bath features a large shower and spacious vanity. There's plenty of space for your clothes in the walk-in closet. There is an A/C for times when the cooling breezes are not cool enough (which doesn't happen very often).
Upstairs there are two large bedrooms each with a kingsize bed. Each room has a smart TV. These two bedrooms share a bathroom with a tub/shower that is located between the bedrooms. Each bedroom has it's own A/C unit for the rare night when they are needed.
The basement has a small bedroom with a queen size bed. This bedroom has it's own private bath with a shower. Just outside the bedroom is a sitting room with a smart TV.
There is also a washer/dryer downstairs (bring your own laundry detergent).
Located in the garage is a gas grill and a charcoal grill(bring your own charcoal) for cooking out and a ping pong table (the paddle boards are not included with the house).
If you are looking for some exercise take a walk to the top of the mountain. It's about 1 1/2 miles and in the summer you can pick blackberries to eat or make a blackberry cobbler. When you get to the top the views are spectacular. Be sure and take some water.

Our family truly enjoyed Buck Horn Lodge, the cabin was exactly as pictured, very clean and roomy enough for our family of 6 (all adults). We enjoyed snow tubing at Tube World, hiking several beautiful trails and of course seeing elk! Thank you!

Awesome to hear! We love watching the fireworks from the porch too.
Cabin was better than advertised and all contact with owners was both pleasant and helpful. This will be our first choice for all future stays in or near Maggie Valley. The view of Maggie Valley and surrounding mountains from the deck is probably the best that any cabin has to offer.

We come up every year for a real tree for Christmas and have stayed at a lot of different cabins. This was a nice clean and comfortable cabin for us. We would recommend it to anyone.
The lodge was beautiful & well maintained & equipped. Parking good & hosts were attentive & kind & gave good directions to house. Driving up was good & a bit thrilling to some flatlanders. Exceptional views. Convenient to many area activities.

The ride up means we have great privacy at the top! Come and see us again.
We stayed here with our 3 daughters, their spouses, and our granddaughter. There was plenty of room for everyone. The house was stocked with everything we needed! We were pleasantly surprised to find spices and lots of pots and pans to make our cheeseburger soup! I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to escape for a while and enjoy God's beautiful creation in a spacious, clean home!
Wonderful property. We particularly enjoyed the deck and view overlooking downtown Maggie Valley. The beds are very comfortable and the attention to detail and decor in the cabin is a big plus. The owners, Jason and Natalie , are very responsive to questions and even though we communicated only by message , their response was very quick and warm. There were seven of us in the 70 age range and we have been.traveling the mts. of North Carolina twice a year for over 25 years . This cabin quickly became our favorite. We do plan a return visit .

We had a wonderful time. This makes our fourth time staying here and look forward to our next visit. It is always clean and everything you need is there! Love the fire place and the view from the deck is beautiful!
We had the best time at the cabin. My husband went fly fishing and I did nothing but relax. We so enjoyed the fireplace, so relaxing. We have stared the cabin and will stay again. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin.
Great cabin, view and host. My family had a lot of fun there. My wife is afraid of heights, so the road up to the cabin made her nervous. I thought it made it unique and secluded yet close enough to get in to downtown. Really fun setup. Will stay there again
We had a great time being together as a family enjoying Christmas at Buck Horn. The house had everything we needed. The only issue we had was unexpected winter weather made getting to the house very difficult. The owner was very attentive and lined up a neighbor to help us get back up to the house. Overall a great time and would love to visit again.
Buckhorn Lodge was everything we expected and more! The views were amazing! The beds were comfortable and the house was spotless! We will be back to stay in the future. We felt completely at home!
We enjoyed our stay. It was a very beautiful home and was clean. I loved the fall tree. We would rent this home again.

What makes this property unique
We love the secluded home with fabulous views of downtown Maggie. The sunsets are gorgeous and some mornings, the clouds cover the valley. We have wild turkeys who visit the driveway at times. You might even see an elk or deer on the road up the mountain.
