Well appointed home on the intracoastal waterway. Super close to the beach and all Oak island has to offer. Will definitely stay here again.

Such a relaxing and beautiful place to stay!

The Coastal Carolina Cottage Retreat was such a beautiful and relaxing place to stay for the week! My husband and I enjoyed it thoroughly, especially the pool area, and hope to visit again sometime soon!

We had a wonderful stay at the Carolina Coastal Cottage Retreat! A lovely space made even more comfortable by the small, thoughtful touches everywhere--spare toothbrushes in the bathrooms, ziploc bags in the kitchen drawers, laundry soap and stain remover for your clothes!We made use of the lovely pool, and borrowed the beach chairs and sun shade for our trip to the beach. We were a small group, but there are multiple places for relaxing around the house. I wish we could've stayed longer, and if circumstances take us back to Oak Island we'll definitely stay here again!

Perfect Vacation Home

This is hands-down the best-equipped vacation home we have stayed in, and we stay in a LOT of them. Every little thing has been carefully considered, leaving you, as guest, to just relax and make memories—which is exactly what we did. The grilling set-up was so great, and the outdoor area so engaging, that we spent the majority of our time right there—no need to go out! I would go back to Oak Island just to stay in this special property.

Excellent!!! If I could give it a 10 rating, I would! Amy and Marty thought of everything! Besides the home being beautifully decorated, very comfortable, it is well stocked with everything you would need while on vacation, especially in the kitchen. We rented a golf cart from Ocean Hideaway to add to our vacation fun to get us back and forth to the beach, highly recommend. We spent a lot of time in the backyard, enjoying the pool, reading under the deck, playing cornhole and enjoyed the outside shower. Without a doubt, we will be back!

“Our Weekend Was Just Perfect!”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had such a wonderful stay! The house is absolutely beautiful!, new, clean, and very well organized. Amy truly thought of everything a home might need, and we really appreciated all the details. We found everything we needed to enjoy a spectacular weekend. The pool was amazing and made our stay even more special. We truly enjoyed these days and would definitely love to come back!

This was our second time visiting the Coastal Carolina Cottage, and it was just as good as the first time we came. Amy is such a great host, and she really made it special for our family this time around. She was very good at communicating with us before, during, and after our trip. *Outdoor*The pool is the perfect size for a family! The shallow end is great for the little kids and there is plenty of room for swimming and relaxing. The water temperature was perfect!!! Aside from the pool being amazing – the outdoor area provides a lot of entertainment. We really enjoyed sitting around the outdoor chairs watching tv, playing cornhole, and playing ping pong. *Indoor*The house was very clean and provided a lot of space and comfort for our family. The beds are very comfortable, and all the linens were freshly cleaned. Amy provided plenty of bathroom towels (makeup towels, too!) and linens. The kitchen provides just about anything you need for meals. There was plenty of fridge storage as well as counter/cabinet space. *Location*The Coastal Carolina Cottage is in a great location. We enjoyed views of the Intracoastal Waterway, and we liked watching the boats go by. You’re close to grocery stores (Publix and Food Lion), as well as shops and restaurants. There’s a lot for kids in the area too – we enjoyed Veterans Park and the Oak Island Nature Center.

Perfect getaway with our family and friends!

We absolutely loved the Coastal Carolina Cottage! It was the perfect spot for our family the spend the weekend. We really wanted to find an house that was less than 5 min from the beach and had a pool/nice outdoor area. Our group traveled with 2 babies under a year old and the set up was exactly what we needed, they even had a highchair, pack and play and sand toys to use. The private pool in the backyard, plenty of shade outside and the screened in porch were the biggest hits for keeping our little ones cool and entertained. The place was spotless when we arrived and there were even some keepsakes for us to take with us from our memorable stay! We will definitely be back!!!

Wonderful Vacation Home!

The Coastal Carolina Cottage was the perfect vacation home for our family! We loved spending time by the pool and hanging out in their outdoor seating/play areas. There was plenty of seating and fun games for our family to enjoy (cornhole and the ping pong table were a huge hit!) The pool was nice, and the temperature was perfect for summer swimming. We also enjoyed using their outdoor grill every night for dinner. The house had everything we needed for our stay. There were plenty of items to cook with (pots, pans, utensils, etc.) and plenty of towels and linens for us to use, including a washer/dryer. This house gave our family the space we needed, and it was perfect for our summer vacation! Amy (host) was incredibly helpful with any questions we might have had during our stay. Amy also left us some nice goodies for staying with them! We would book the Coastal Carolina Cottage again!

Outstanding home!!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this beautiful home! The house was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing trip. We traveled with two babies under 1, and it was such a relief to find a high chair! The location was perfect—just 5 minutes from the beach in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood. The outdoor shower made it super easy to rinse off after sandy beach days, and the pool was a huge hit for all of us. They really thought of everything: beach and pool towels, chairs, floats, even a pop-up shade canopy. One of the sweetest surprises was the incredibly thoughtful welcome gift—they went above and beyond, and we’ve actually been using it every day since we got home! The grill was another fantastic bonus—we ended up grilling every night! The hosts were kind, welcoming, and very responsive. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and are already looking forward to planning another trip back!

Amazing Stay!

We had a wonderful one month stay at Coastal Carolina Cottage on Oak Island! Amy and Marty are fantastic hosts and have thought of everything to ensure their guests are happy. This lovely decorated "cottage" really felt like home with a very well-equipped kitchen, super comfy beds, fluffy towels and upscale toiletries. Being across the street from the intercoastal in this quiet neighborhood provided relaxing mornings sipping coffee on the front porch with a view of the boats going by. Afternoons were spent floating around the crystal clear pool and grabbing beverages and snacks from the outdoor kitchen. We even enjoyed watching football and soccer on the covered outdoor TV! The screened in porch provided a great reading spot on cloudy afternoons. The location is perfect for exploring Oak Island. Just a few minutes to the beach or a short drive to "the point" for sunsets. Shopping and restaurants are just a short drive away. Our brunch favorite was Fixins, and for an upscale dinner we loved Salt 64 and Island Way. So glad we found Coastal Carolina Cottage!

Our family had an amazing stay at Coastal Carolina Cottage! The home was super cute and even better than the pictures. It was spotless when we arrived, beautifully decorated, and stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable week away. This was the most thoughtfully stocked home that we have ever stayed at!The private pool quickly became everyone's favorite spot, and we loved relaxing on the porches while taking in the peaceful views of the Intracoastal Waterway. The outdoor living space was perfect for grilling, eating together, and winding down after spending the day at the beach.The location couldn't have been better. It was close to the beach, restaurants, and everything Oak Island has to offer, yet it still felt quiet and relaxing. It truly felt like our own little retreat.The host was wonderful to work with and made everything from booking to check-in incredibly easy. Their communication was excellent, and it was obvious they take great pride in their home.We made so many wonderful family memories here and were genuinely sad to leave. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Coastal Carolina Cottage to anyone looking for a beautiful, comfortable, and relaxing vacation on Oak Island!

The place is so nice with the fun ping pong table and corn hole and pool of course. Included were pool floaties and comfy seating. Host was always available to reply to messages. Kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with essentials. I would definitely recommend. We will definitely be back.
