Perfect getaway

My friends and I stayed here for a girl's weekend. The pictures of the beach view don't do it justice. It was in a great location and the owners were very helpful with restaurant recommendations. We will definitely be back.

Summer 2022 beach vacation

The Condo was just wonderful! The ocean views from the balcony were amazing! Easy access to Oak Island beach and the parking was under the building so our car was not too hot when venturing out. The condo had a fully stocked kitchen, games, TV and was remodeled recently. We would definately rent again.

Another great visit to Sea la Vie ! It’s conveniently located and so peaceful - sunsets on the deck are all the entertainment you need! The dunes are being redeveloped so to get to the beach it’s an easy walk thru the complex to the road - no problem at all. Check in is super easy and The owners are very easy to work with! Thank you!

Perfect 'Just cuz' get away

My sister and cousins (also sisters), enjoyed the perfect just because cousins (Just cuz) getaway! Our stay at Sea la Vie was perfect, decor was lovely, and a wonderful view. We particularly appreciated the well secured hooks in the bathrooms. Such a small thing, but it allows us to hang our cosmetic bags off the counter and away, but still easy access. Thanks! Just cuz! Great Girls Get - Away

This property is at a great location to restuarants, shopping and other activities. We loved the view of the ocean and the private balcony. Loved the overall lay-out of the property. Especially the three bedrooms and two baths. Hope to return in the future. Owner made the whole process, from start to finish, very smooth. Readily available to answer any and all questions.

Fantastic!

The condo was perfect. It is in a great location with fantastic views. The owner checked in on us our first night there to make sure everything was to our expectations. The condo was clean, the updates they made are beautiful, a truly great space. The owners laid out a little welcome basket of sunscreen, aloe vera, toothpaste, K cups, and popcorn, incredibly thoughtful. The kitchen was well stocked. There were games for the kids in the bunk room. The use of the beach chairs was much appreciated. We can’t wait to get back and stay at this property again!

Wonderful Beach Trip!

Our family really enjoyed staying in this condo! The location was super convenient to the beach and to other activities, like ice cream, arcade, and mini golf. This is the closest condo to the beach at the facility, has a fabulous view, and the walk was easy for our young children. The outdoor closet was stocked with chairs, sand toys, and boogie boards. Dish soap, hand soap, shampoo, and conditioner were provided. The air conditioner went out one day we were there, and it made for one hot night. But Tracy was very responsive, and It was fixed within 24 hours. The only suggestion we would have would be for the community: an extra outdoor shower/rinse-off station at each building would have made coming off the beach easier. Thank you for a great vacation!

Great Place “Beware of Rats”

My stay at this property was incredibly disappointing, to say the least. While the pictures match the front part of the house (like the kitchen and living room), the back part (specifically the bathrooms and laundry area) was not nearly as put together or beautiful as advertised. The most alarming issue was the rats. We woke up to find rats had chewed through our unpacked bags in both the living room and kitchen areas. They had gnawed through the bags and scattered pieces of the bags around the house in their search for food. When I reached out to the owner, she was responsive but suggested that we go to the grocery store, purchase traps and peanut butter, and set the traps ourselves. Initially, I considered doing so, but after thinking it over and considering the safety of my small children, I decided against it. I did not want to risk my kids being traumatized by seeing a rat in a trap. The owner explained a recent flood had caused rats to get in. She made it seem like this was a one-time issue. However, after further investigation it became clear that this was a recurring problem with rodents at the property. To make matters worse, this happened during my daughter’s birthday. we had to cut our trip short, leaving in the middle of the night after consulting with VRBO, who advised we leave due to the health and sanitary issues. Also, take a look at the cleaning expectations and’s cleaning fees…. THEY DON’T MATCH! You shouldn’t have to pay AND clean?!

Beautiful condo and view

We very much enjoyed this beautiful condo with a stunning view because of its end location! The deck was a little smaller than we expected, but room enough for four to enjoy a drink, but not dine outside. It is very close to the beach access- just a short walk-which was nice getting all of our beach supplies set up! The host was very prompt responding to any question or need that we had. There were only a couple of minor kitchen items we would’ve used that were not available, but overall, very well-appointed. We rented two condos for all of our kids and grandkids to vacation together which worked out great! The pool was never crowded and was easy to go back and forth from the beach. The beach itself was beautiful sand and plenty of space for fun activities. We would definitely come back!

Sea La Vie - great location, great vacation!

The Sea La Vie is clean, well stocked, well maintained, comfortable, and located in a great spot at Oak Island. There are other nice condos in the same complex for family and friends to rent (we had 3 condos), clean covered parking, walkable restaurants, stores, ice cream, coffee shops. Very handy big storage locker for chairs and beach toys. The pool is small but clean. We like spending time on the beach without a wild pool complex enticing the children all day! It’s quiet at night and we enjoyed looking at the stars. There is a nice rec center about half a mile away, with a splash park, playground, pickleball, and walking path. I walk all around the area by myself every day, it feels safe and people are friendly. I was able to charge my EV at the rec center, and I think it was free. Nice.

We moved to NC from northern Maine in 1996. We fell in love with NC and knew it was a perfect place to raise our family. After searching the NC beaches for a vacation home, we fell in love with the peace and tranquility of Oak Island and it’s neighboring town of Southport (whose small-town feel reminded us of our childhood home). We hope you enjoy our home!
