Enjoy the comfort, character, and charm of our lovely 120+ year old Victorian house. A great location which is convenient to the airport, about 1 mile from Churchill Downs, 15 min. from downtown Louisville, and several great restaurants within 2 blocks! The house has lots of character: 5 stunning fireplaces, 3 large bedrooms with lovely hardwood floors and high ceilings. There are 2 full bathrooms, wireless internet, living room, dining room, den, and you will have complete access to a beautiful back yard and patio, complete with a hot tub! Our basic rate is for 6 people, but we have options available for up to 10 people at the extra rate of $50 per person per night. These include trundle beds and a double futon/single bunk bed.

You will notice interesting international decor throughout the house. Although we hail from Wisconsin, we have spent much of our careers living internationally. We are outdoor enthusiasts, enjoying hiking, biking and camping. We are very involved in our community and church and strive to live with care for our environment using sustainable household products and recycling.

Why they chose this property

Beechmont neighborhood is a unique area of Louisville in that there are immigrants from many countries living here, creating a very interesting intercultural context. The restaurants on Woodlawn Ave. (1.5 blocks away) serve Vietnamese, Haitian, Japanese (Sushi), and Asian street food, as well as traditional pizza. And there are 2 coffee shops!

What makes this property unique

Location, location, location! Many of our guests chose to avoid the crazy traffic and walk to Derby (as its only about 1 mile away) and to walk to nearby restaurants.

The ambiance of our Victorian home and beautiful backyard have also been appreciated by our guests.
