About this property

Modern mountain home near App Ski Mountain

Perched above App Ski Mountain, sits this superb house with floor to ceiling windows to take in the spectacular view. It comes furnished with pieces selected for comfort and style. It comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests with 3 bedrooms: a king, queen, and twin bed. Enjoy the convenience of WiFi, a washing machine and dryer, heating, and AC during your stay. The 2.5 bathrooms come equipped with everything you need: both full bathrooms have anti-fog mirrors.
There are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors: big side deck for al-fresco dining, private balcony off the primary bedroom, patio outside the downstairs den, fire pit with Adirondack chairs. And if the weather is not cooperating, just stay inside and watch it pass by the wall of windows!

The house is on a septic system - please treat it with care and do not flush bulky items, or wash food scrapings down the sink.

There are amazing tourism activities very close by: 10 minutes to Blowing Rock, 10 minutes to Boone, 5 minutes to the Blue Ridge parkway and Moses Cone manor. Hike to Flat Top Mountain fire tower from the house. 10 minutes to Tweetsie Railroad and Mystery Hill! 30 minutes to Grandfather Mountain.

4WD/AWD is required in the winter months. Snow can come as early as late October and stay as late as end of March. The neighborhood is ploughed, but there are some tight corners where ice lingers.

Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items and remove leftover food and drinks
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Access instructions will be given to you as soon as the home is ready for check in. Please leave bed linens in the room. This helps keep sheet sets together
Turn off the gas grill at the supply hose if you have used it; Please be cautious when using the grill, and the outdoor fire pit. Be really sure all embers are out. Statewide drought, high fire risk
Please lock all the doors. Safe travels and please come again!

Shelagh was such a great host! Very responsive and informative throughout our stay. The home was beautifully decorated, there even was a little Christmas tree for our December stay. Fantastic location 10-15 minutes to both DT Boone and blowing rock. It’s even 9 minutes away from Appalachian ski mtn which was wonderful. We will definitely be staying here again!!

We loved our time here! The house is extremely well appointed and comfortable. The kitchen not only has everything you need, but the knives are high quality and sharp. The beds are very comfortable with soft, organic linens. The views from the outside deck were just fabulous and we couldn’t get enough of all the deer families around the house.
