Private beach, deck, grill, kayaks. Clear Lake is a roughly 100 acres all-sports lake with very little boat traffic. Its quiet and peaceful, ideal for Kayaking, fishing, swimming.

The location is perfect for exploring the area (Pere Marquette Beach, Farmer's Markets, Muskegon State Park/Beach, Michigan's Adventure Amusement and Water Park, PJ Hoffmaster State Park, Restaurant and Breweries in Downtown Muskegon, Horseback Riding, Maranatha Conference Center, Live Music at the Deck, Silver Lake Sand Dunes, Muskegon Luge Adventure Sports Park, Motorbike/ATV trails, Muskegon Museum of Art, Lewis Adventure Farm & Zoo and several area golf courses.

Beautiful property

The property and house were both beautiful and our stay was so relaxing. The only downside was that the beds were pretty hard & uncomfortable. Other than that, our stay was great!

Great place to stay with plenty of room for the 8 of us. Lots of extras included which is such a bonus. Had everything we needed. Loved the outdoor space as well, great lake. Amazing fishing with blue gill, sun fish, perch, bass, pike, and bowfin. Kids stayed busy for hours. The kids loved kayaking, fishing from the paddle boat, and swimming on the raft. If we ever come back to this area would definately stay again!!

This is perfect place if you are looking to relax on a lake. Plenty of space in the house, so close to water front. The lake is small - we could paddleboard around the whole thing and small enough to swim in the open waters and feel safe. The water is warm and clear, and perfect for little kids. They can fish right off the dock. Only complaint is the paddle boat and kayaks need a little updating. Kids are already asking when to return. They loved the bunk room!

My stay was from friday to Monday on Friday the trip was for my moms and my husband’s birthday we loved the house and everything was good until night came we had the music on low at night and the host came to the house at 3 am to tell us we couldn’t be outside talking by the fire on Saturday we weren’t even home all day we got home around 8 and were without power and water for 2 hrs if the house is a vacation rental property you should have a generator because from what i saw its pretty common on that area sunday was the last night and it was my mother’s birthday we also had music on and 3 men came to house at night threatening us because they didn’t want us to be outside i get the music being a problem and was turned off every time they asked but if anyone was coming to the house I should of been notified before it even happened especially late at night i even received messages from the host saying that they were informed i was only 17 and is also not true i am 21 the only minors in the house were a 4 a 7 year old and my baby that is 2 months old I personally don’t recommend and wouldn’t rent again just because how bad it was dealing with host

The Bolden family is from Grand Rapids (four generations) and spent many summer days along the shore of Lake Michigan. In 2019, their daughter discovered Clear Lake and bought this charming log cabin on a inland lake in Muskegon County. Larry Sr. & Katie moved to Twin Lake a few years later and then Larry Jr. bought the cottage two doors down from his sister. Although their children spent their adult life in Florida, Colorado and Metro Detroit. The Bolden's cherish the time that they can all gather at the lake.

We have rented this cottage as overflow for our family get togethers and when it became available, we just had to have it. We love welcoming guests from all over the country and watching young families enjoy our vacation home.

Why they chose this property

Clear Lake is quiet, spring fed lake with no public boat launch. It is an all-sports lake but mostly enjoyed by swimmers, fisherman, kayakers and paddle boards. About the 1/3 of the waterfront is undeveloped (it was a former girl scout camp) so there is abundant wildlife, great fishing, and beautiful scenery.

We also love that it is a short drive to downtown Muskegon and many great restaurants, the Muskegon State Park, Pere Marquette Beach, Michigan's Adventure Amusement Park, Grand Haven, hiking in the National Forest and Silver Lake Sand Dunes.

What makes this property unique

It is hard to find a cottage that accommodate two families so comfortably with updated with modern amenities. We also have a private beach, dock and the ability to launch our boat directly from the property. There is ample parking, including room to store a boat trailer.
