Simple clean home surrounded by nature and beauty.

At the bay:
Private southern facing sandy beach on West Grand traverse Bay with views of Power Island and distant views of Traverse City lights. Watch the sunrise over Old Mission Peninsula from the waters edge. Charcoal and lighter fluid are ready at the deck to BBQ on the grill. Firewood is stacked at the beach to enjoy a camp fire in the evening.
During the peak summer season, paddle along Cherry Cove on one of the kayaks or stand up paddle boards. Sit out on the beach deck or at the end of the dock or around the fire pit at night.

Main house:
Large family room centers around the natural gas fireplace with a smart TV and internet service (no cable). Linens are provided with washer and dryer. Main bedroom has a King bed and private sun room over looking a crystal clear stream. 2nd bedroom has 2 Queen beds. The kitchen / dinning area is equipped with all essentials.
(built 1967 remodeled in the 80's)

Auxiliary apartment:
Located above the garage and separated by private entrance, OCCUPIED BY OWNER. It is our priority that the guests of the main house are given every respect of privacy and care.

Location:
Quiet peaceful cottage community. The road is nice for a walk or bike ride. The beach is across Lee Point Road . The property is 15 min to Traverse City and 5 min to Suttons Bay.

Lock the doors
Please start 1 load (no more than 6 towels) of laundry
Beach and deck are not covered by cleaner. Please return kayaks to rack and SUP'S to deck.
Anything recyclable must be separated from trash Trash bin can only have tied bags in it
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Quiet time 10 pm to 8 am Respect nature Do not leave garbage outdoors. Sauna, hot tub, SUP boards, & kayaks are for adult use only.
Boat dock is for day use. Over night boats on beach, moor off shore or take out each night. No fireworks allowed on rental property per ordinance.
DO NOT LEAVE FIRE UNATTENDED! Never under estimate the wind and a little spark Extinguish fire with buckets of water before leaving it Do not use sand

Wonderful old school lake cottage with beautiful laid back beach. There are plenty of good spots to eat/ drink a short distance away and lots of outdoor activities. Aaron (owner) was on site but makes it a point to respect visitor's privacy, and he was very helpful and responsive with any questions or needs. We loved out time here.

Had a wonderful time at Aaron’s! Incredible amenities - we took advantage of the sauna, hot tub, and water toys. Aaron went above and beyond and provided more floaties for us and we felt like we had ample privacy. Full kitchen to cook for a group of 6, would absolutely recommend and return!

We enjoyed this stay! It was clean and cozy, and we visited during the extreme wildfire smoke so we were super grateful for the central AC. I had missed in all the details that the beach was across the street, but it was a really easy and safe walk (even with small children). The beach access was great though, especially the gazebo and fire pit. Thanks, Aaron!

This is a great spot with sandy beach and lake bottom. We found the house to be spacious, clean, and well appointed with modern appliances. Aaron is a quick communicator and addressed our questions promptly and helpfully. The property is about 2.5 miles from the Leelenau rail trail (paved) which connects Suttons Bay and Traverse City.

This property was the best stocked property we have ever rented. Kitchen, bathroom, linens, everything. Owner is available and very kind but gives privacy. House is cozy, quiet, very private with Great Lake views. Beach and dock we could not get enough of. We can’t wait to return and try all four seasons here.

This is a beautiful cottage and it is very well kept and clean. Our stay was in early spring during cold weather and the furnace was more than up to the task. Access to the beach is across an unbusy road, and the view of the beach and bay was very nice. Lots of amenities as described in the write-up, and everything was tip-top shape. We had a very relaxing long weekend in spite of less than ideal weather. I'm sure this property is wonderful in the spring, summer, and fall. I highly recommend this property, and will be looking to come back again.

The host was welcoming and the home and amenities were in good shape. The Home was spacious, comfortable and we especially enjoyed the hot tub on the back deck. We were unable to get the gas fireplace to work and it would have been helpful to have a clear list of items to complete before we checked out of the property.

I apologize for the fireplace being a manual appliance. It was running before your arrival and started after check out. The little sticker labels and my instructions can be frustrating to restart when the pilot is turned off accidentally. It may need to be upgraded in the future. The check out list maybe too short to recognize. The list is this: Start dishwasher if needed Start washer with no more than 6 towels. After looking into this I now see other listings ask for more. Things that should be added: Close windows Turn off water faucets Ensure stove is not on Refrigerator doors closed Turn off lights Cover hot tub Return kayaks and SUP'S, paddles and life vests properly Check all rooms, closets, cabinets and drawers for personal items Lock doors Text that check out is complete and house is ready for cleaning. I'm sorry your experience failed to fulfill the expectations offered from the listing pictures and description. I will pay for it thru a very unforgiving algorithm Lol. I hope to receive constructive feedback thru DM and accept suggestions as my "to do" list.

The description doesn't do it justice. If you're looking for the perfect Michigan beach day experience book now! I would love to return in the summer to take advantage of the gazebo on the beautiful beachfront!! This location is truly so cozy and peaceful. We saw a couple of snow storms during our stay and Mr Aaron was sure to clear the snow for us. He was a wonderful host! The creek going through the trees is the perfect scene for the hot tub as well! Gold stars all around!

The property is surrounded by mature forest of cedar and oak. The crystal clear stream flows year round spilling into the bay, providing a cool aliveness of fresh woodsy wilderness. The cottage is tucked back into the shade of the trees, while the white sandy beach rests in full sun all day.

The view from both the family room and kitchen are so amazing! As the trees are as much of the experience as the bay itself.
