About this property

Red Tail Roost Tiny Home, Views, Hike, Bike, ATV on nearby BLM Land, Laundry

Welcome to our tiny home vacation rental in the heart of stunning western Colorado, just 20 minutes from Grand Junction. This cozy retreat offers full kitchen, laundry, dog friendly with incredible views of the world's largest flat-top mountain, frequent wildlife visits, access to BLM, Land's End Road, premier mountain biking and road biking, ATV trails, local wineries, breweries and other great dining, as well as winter skiing and snowshoeing. Year Round recreation is our best kept secret!

The space
Red Tail Roost is a freestanding tiny home located on the owner's residential property. The property is on approximately 2 acres of natural desert land with exceptional views of the Grand Mesa, spectacular sunsets, and incredible night skies with very little light intrusion in our area. Quiet area in a unique rural neighborhood with homes set on 2-5 acres, so much quieter than your average residential area.

Close to Highway 50--convenient for travelers driving through the area.

Rabbits and quail are residents of your back yard, with deer, coyotes, foxes, and a multitude of bird species frequent the area.

You will also find fresh eggs in your refrigerator courtesy of our flock of chickens--please pardon our roosters and ducks--they can sometimes be a bit enthusiastic about living their best life here!

Guest access
Guests will receive a text message from hosts the day prior to check in with directions and your own unique door code for access. Our rural location is very easy access, and guests find it easy to get to.

We recommend stopping for groceries either in Grand Junction or Delta on your way in if you wish. We always have some snacks and a coffee bar in the house for your convenience!

Other things to note
Most of the property is in a natural landscape state, so there are rocks and bushes all around. Please use caution walking around, especially in areas off the driveway and patio.

There are also stickers in different areas, and the road often has "goat head" stickers. Please use care with your pups! One of our guests has recommended booties, which is a great idea if you have them.

We also have wildlife that frequents the area--please be respectful of the animals, and don't bother them. Please keep dogs in control and don't allow them to chase any wildlife in the neighborhood.

Why they chose this property

The house is set in a rural area, with friendly, quiet neighbors, close to public lands, yet not too far from town. It's a perfect location for people who like peace and quiet, beautiful views, sunsets, and the outdoor life.

What makes this property unique

Our property is a 320 square ft. tiny house that we built with guests in mind. It is set in a unique, rural desert area.
