Modern country cottage that is dog friendly with a fenced-in yard.

As approaching this country cottage the modern styling will evoke memories of the '60's with a current twist. Entering the front door you step in to an open concept design of living, dining, and kitchen. Relax on the leather sofa to watch TV w/ digital antennae, watch a DVD, listen to music on the retro-style AM-FM radio, read a book, or enjoy the view out the large picture window of nature and farm animals. WIFI allows you to stay connected. Enjoy cooking in the modern kitchen w/ glass-top electric range, retro looking microwave, full size refrigerator, and dishwasher. The cabinets are fully stocked with equipment to cook and enjoy your meals. Dine at the 51" custom cherry live edge table with seating for 2. The bedroom is comfortably appointed with a queen size bed, large dresser, ample closet space, ceiling fan, Edison-style lamp on the bedside table, flat screen TV, and a lineal electric fireplace. Modern bathroom w/ curbless shower, comfort height toilet, and floating vanity. Laundry located in enclosed closet. Stepping out the rear door you enter the screened-in porch w/ dining area, access to parking and fenced-in yard, grill deck, and gas fire pit with seating to enjoy your time. For the months of April- October (temperatures permitting) you may use the outdoor tiled shower for 2 in complete privacy looking up at the aerial view. We welcome your dog with bowls, sofa cover, and natural treats. Maximum weight for your dog is 30#. Only 2 dogs are allowed with a $125 fee for one and $125 for the second one. Send information for approval. We do require that you cleanup after your dog and and attend to them outdoors. Please note that our home does not accommodate children.
Our home is convenient to Route 30 & 283 to travel easily to Columbia ,Lancaster City, Amish country ,covered bridges, Gettysburg, Hershey and day trips to Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington DC, or NYC.

We had the most wonderful visit! The cottage was adorable and nestled on beautiful farm land. It exceeded all of our expectations! Our hosts were absolutely delightful and provided all of the comforts of home… and more! (including farm fresh eggs and the most delicious homemade blueberry scones). When the property listing says it is pet friendly, they weren’t kidding! The host provided a sofa cover, dog bowls, and grain free treats for our dog Lily. Rental was extremely clean & well furnished. Wonderful view. Thoughtful touches like fresh eggs, freshly baked blueberry scones, fresh flowers, candy & even dog treats. The fenced in yard for our dog was greatly appreciated. Our dog found the chickens, rosters, emus & burros very interesting. The property is very well maintained & the owners are close by but give you privacy. Highly recommend.

Carol and Pete are the consummate hosts! This cottage is pristine- looking like no one has ever stayed here before us. The fresh blueberry scones, farm fresh eggs, and treats for our dog welcomed us. The kitchen is better stocked than ours at home with high quality dishes, glassware, and all the tools you need. Even the coffee was delicious!

My husband and I had another wonderful stay on Carol's property in May. We wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else when we are in the area. Unbelievably relaxing and peaceful

It started with Carol and Pete bring us the most delicious home made scones for our breakfast for the next three mornings. The house was so beautiful and well equipped for all your needs. The grounds are well maintained and are the home to donkeys, chickens ( that will provide you with fresh eggs) emus & some neighbors cows.The atmosphere is nothing but peaceful. The only bad part of the weekend was having to leave, but we plan and hope to return.

We had a wonderful stay for our long weekend! Carol and Pete have an amazing property and everything was better than expected! The blueberry scones and fresh eggs that were waiting for us was such a thoughtful touch! They even left treats and a couch cover for our dog, Finn, who also had a wonderful time. The animals on the farm were very friendly and fun to interact with. The Mod Pos was cute and cozy, and had everything we needed. The outdoor shower was a bonus!!!
