Wonderful Property! So much space to relax, and unwind in peace and quiet, (we loved the sunroom and the back porch and the massive television for football) yet Quick access to downtown Clayton and all its shops and restaurants! 10 friends and a terrific time!!

House was immaculate and comfy.. The hot tub was not in working order due to the questionable planking underneath. Maneuvering in the parking area was not easy with 4 cars. If you have pets, there is no level area for walking the dog. Otherwise we had a good time.

The Sparrows Nest was fantastic! We (8 people total) stayed here for a weekend so my now husband and I could get married at the state park near by and it was an excellent choice. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The house itself was gorgeous and clean and had great views of the surrounding mountains. We’ve already discussed staying here again in the future for a potential (leisurely) hiking trip, so I definitely recommend!

The host was incredibly accommodating, and the place was absolutely fabulous. Wonderful for a large family. I was really surprised at how well stocked everything was. There was no need to run to the store for any incidentals. The home was welcoming, clean, neat and just precious. We go every year and this is the place we will come back to.

We had a nice stay at Sparrows Nest. There was plenty of room for people to gather but also space to spread out. The house was clean. We enjoyed the porches and decks. There were a lot of outdoor activity options nearby. The driveway is very steep and parking multiple vehicles was a challenge- carpool if possible.

We absolutely loved the screen porch with babbling creek below! We were there for our son’s wedding so didn’t really spend a lot of time at the house but there is plenty to do if we had - hot tub, grill, games, pool table, LARGE TV, etc. Accommodated 10 of us age 18-74 very well! Could’ve slept 2 more. 14 would’ve been a push. Depends on how “friendly” everyone is. The road up the mountain is definitely curvy and steep, but so are many other roads when you’re going up a mountain. Downtown Clayton is conveniently located right at the foot of the mountain. House was very well stocked with everything you need. Would definitely recommend.
