Timber Ridge is about a 20 minute drive to downtown Asheville, a scenic, 15-minute drive to Black Mountain and just a 15 minute drive will take you to I-40 or the parkway where so many adventures begin! Whether you feel like hiking Mt. Mitchell, Chimney Rock State Park, Looking Glass Falls or sitting on the rocking-chair porch at Mt. Pisgah after having a nice meal, you will be surrounded in beauty. When it comes to our mountains, we know the secret - within the beauty lies charm, romance and opportunity for a peace that is hard to define. The house itself (built by Ron!), the beautiful scenery, and the calm and peaceful energy came together in the most wonderful way. The best part, however, was Candi and Ron! This was the perfect location for a long weekend getaway to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Everything was clean, was well stocked with everything you need to cook a dinner, bed was comfortable and the hot tub was a great addition! Candice was great to work with, provided all the information we needed ahead of time and even called to make sure there were no problems with the code to get in. They even left a small gift for my wife! We will be back again, and we highly recommend this property!

Timber Ridge was the most welcoming place we have stayed at. The cabin was exceptionally clean and the kitchen well equipped. We enjoyed sitting on the porch by the fire pit in the evening reading and listening to the night sounds. It is a very quiet, private, and peaceful place. The bed was comfy and the bathroom supplied with all the essentials, including plenty of towels.We have stayed in many vacation rentals and have never had the host reach out to us in the way Candi and Ron did. It was evident that they wanted to make our stay special. We will definitely book with them again when we are in the Asheville area and highly recommend Timber Ridge to anyone who wants to visit the area.

This house is a hidden gem! This was I believe our 3rd stay at Timber Ridge and as per the norm, Candi and Ronnie were excellent hosts. Before our visit Candi reached out to ask what type of creamer we would like and to our delight it was waiting for us in the fridge. The house is spotless and oh so comfy cozy. If you are looking to get away from it all, this is the place!!

The Great Escape

I can not say enough good things about this property . When I was looking for a place my intention was something private and secluded! This was exactly what I was looking for! Everything from check in to check out was absolutely perfect! The house was so cute and charming. No cheesy decor or cheap bedding! The sheets were super soft. Comfy, adjustable air bed which was great for my back even with multiple herniated discs and previous back surgery. Extra blankets galore. Even the pillows were awesome! Kitchen well stocked. Hot tub extremely clean and well maintained. We were so impressed and pleased. The location was great as well! Far enough away from the Asheville hustle and bustle to relax peacefully but close enough to jump right into it if desired. Great privacy as well! Hostess, Candice, is a GEM and stayed in close contact but allowed us to enjoy peacefully! We will most definitely be back! Thank you!!

Wonderful Home

Excellent accommodations for two couples. We enjoyed a long weekend stay and wished it could have been longer. The house was very clean and had all the amenities we could ask for. It is close to Black Mountain and Asheville for shopping, dining and numerous breweries.

Our highest compliment is when they come back repeatedly and tell friends and family about us. As their experience is enhanced with time, our feeling of joy in sharing our mountain home blesses us as well.
Sharing our love of the mountains just seemed natural and so, it is our pleasure to offer our guests a pleasing getaway experience. We built almost every inch our "mountain retreat" ourselves, putting thought and care into its design and build.
Ronnie loves to watch the mountain scene from the Captain's seat of a small plane and has made a life hobby of travel and "never meeting a stranger."
Candice loves to be outdoors in "Discovery Mode" with Lacey, our Shih Tzu mix, or interacting in this fine community. There is so much to experience in our local mountain regions! And it's our pleasure to share our happy place and know of the positive experience it gives to our honored guests.
