Amazing Lakefront Property, Private Dock, Direct Access to Water, New Hot Tub/AC

Cozy cottage nestled on a half-acre lot of waterfront property on Swan Pond. A perfect place to relax and enjoy all the Cape has to offer. The dock offers direct water access. Available are two single kayaks, a canoe and two paddleboards. Three bedrooms (one king, one queen, one with two twins) feature new furniture and comfortably sleep two adults in each on luxury bedding. A third bedroom is setup to comfortably sleep at least two children in two twin beds. The kitchen offers stainless appliances, granite countertops and beautiful views of the water while you enjoy your morning coffee. Local beaches are just minutes away. When you return from a hot day at the beach, cool off and clean up in the outdoor shower. Relax in the hammock or on the swings while enjoying cocktails on the deck overlooking the water. Enjoy the 6-person hot tub. Cook dinner on the grill. Make smores by outdoor fire pit or cozy up inside by the wood burning fireplace. In addition to 3 distinct bedrooms, there is a pullout couch in one of the living rooms. Wanderers' Rest is located close to bike trails, boat rentals, movie theaters, restaurants, and bars.

We loved it here! Views are amazing, the provided kayaks and paddle boards were a huge bonus as was the hot tub! Kids loved exploring the island and playing in the yard (thank you for providing outdoor games and hammocks-perfect!) The layout of the house is great and very comfortable. I really appreciated that so much helpful information and instructions are given, allowing you to plan accordingly. Aside from there not being any fish in the water to catch (at least during our visit), there is nothing you can complain about with this house and host! It was a great stay :)

Cape Cod Getaway

We had a wonderful time at this property. The views were stunning and everything we could ever need during our stay was available. The hot tub was great during the chilly nights and the paddle boarding was amazing during the day. Lots of great restaurants and hiking trails in the area, especially in the fall.

Great View

The view of Swan Pond is wicked good. The house has great rooms and everything you could want. Nice large yard too. Located convenient to Sundae School ice cream shop, mini golf, restaurants, hiking and biking.

A perfect place to stay!

We couldn’t have chosen a more perfect place to stay on the Cape. The central location made it easy to get to all of the hot spots that we were excited to check out. The home itself is lovely and exactly as described. The view is spectacular with brilliant sunsets over the water. The hot tub, fire table and comfy sectional were awesome gathering areas and the comfy beds made us feel very much at home. Thank you for an amazing vacation!

Stunning view

House was well updated, clean and very well equipped. The view of the pond was beautiful and the many birds and a rabbit family kept us entertained. The manager was very helpful and responded very quickly. The entertainment system was awesome with a large number of streaming options. It was convenient to shopping, golf courses, beaches and restaurants yet the property was quiet and serene.

Very Nice

The house was very clean and well appointed. The only negatives were there was no canoe, as was advertised, the water was extremely shallow off of the dock, which prevented fishing, and the internet had to be frequently rebooted. We are an older couple and getting in and out of a canoe is a lot easier than getting in and out of kayaks. But the view was very nice, the house was private, and the location was convenient to various areas of the Cape. Too bad it rained most of the week.

Dennis - Cape Week

There are a lot of amazing things about this property .... but there were unfortunately some key disappointments for us. PROS: * Communication: the rental process was easy, communication with owners and property manager was always very timely, congenial and easy. This was much appreciated! *Location - the house was in a great location in mid-Cape, with a huge lot, lots of privacy, quiet neighborhood, beautiful views of swan pond and easy access to amenities and local beaches. * House- it's well laid out, 3 bedrooms, big decks, lots of outdoor space, easy to navigate kitchen, overall plenty of room for big groups or families CONS: House - while the house is charming it doesn't have all of the creature comforts of home. First, AC - the listing said AC but in fact, its only window units in the bedrooms. These were suitable and worked decently for the bedrooms, but in August for folks working remotely and making large group dinners, IT WAS HOT. And there only one small table top fan to help with circulation. I wish this had been more clear or fans available with air flow. It was just unfortunate because I spent most time during the day working and sweating. The WIFI was not strong enough to be outside. There were just a few other things that are more nit picky like no trash bags or paper towels and really uncomfortable seating in dining room (in and out); and no outdoor lights!!!! WATER: the house is on this amazingly beautiful brackish pond, and we had visions of swimming off the dock, floating the day, kayaking and using the house for more water entertainment. You can't really do this at all - the water is not swimmable - there is no ladder on the dock, I have no idea how one would have gotten in and out of a kayak, there were aggressive hissing swans, and the water was murky, swampy, muddy, crab infested, etc. Not a single person even wanted to attempt. *Finally, the hot tub... this took one whole star off my rating. It was honestly vile. we took the lid off, were hit in the face with the wafting smell of in your face chemicals. The water was green, cloudy, and smelled horrendous. They said it’s treated 2x week but with what? We got in against my better judgement and that was a bad idea. It smelled so bad, the chemicals created almost like a cloud, my skin smelled like chemicals for days, a black bathing was completely ruined from smell and BLEACHING OUT. I personally have a hot tub and have never seen anything like this.

The home was so beautiful! We absolutely would come again. We said multiple times "we would live here." The hot tub was perfect and we used it everyday. The beds were so comfortable. We cooked 3 meals in the wonderful kitchen. We also loved the firepit and had smores there. The view was incredible and so so beautiful. Highly recommend booking this gorgeous home!

Incredible property

What a wonderful cottage in a spectacular setting! Convenient location but hard to leave to go exploring since Wanderer's Rest had so much to offer. If we ever make it back to Cape we will be staying again!

Beautiful, peaceful getaway

Property was as described and more! Quiet neighborhood, well maintained home, beautiful setting on lovely pond. The house was so cutely decorated, with extra special amenities that made it a step above. My husband and I stayed with another couple, and the house layout was conducive to not only together time, but also allowed for some space. The hot tub, outdoor gas fireplace, and deck seating provided evenings of peaceful quiet. Scott was so responsive to our questions. I would highly recommend this home, and hope maybe someday to return!

Peaceful

We had a wonderful stay at Wanderers Rest. Relaxing, peaceful, comfortable, fun, I could go on. The house is fully and thoughtfully stocked with any supplies we could need. The beds were comfortable, blankets and towels were plentiful. The view’s, morning to night were serene. We were able to kayak, enjoy the hot tub and fire table, the kid’s play set was a game changer for my nephew. We will be back. Thank you for sharing your home.

Wonderful!

Absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful home! The view looking over the pond was amazing and we so enjoyed kayaking around, seeing the swans (and other waterfowl!)and listening to the sounds of nature.Spent the mornings on the deck with a cup of coffee and just listening to the birds. The house was a perfect place to unwind and relax, We even did a few puzzles on the couple of rainy days we had. Definitely recommend and would love to return one day!

Pictures don’t do justice

We stayed as a family with 3 generations together. The pictures do not do this place justice. The open floor plan made the house feel so welcoming to the group. The rooms were all comfortable and the location is amazing. The serenity of quiet when you sit outside watching the birds on the pond makes you feel like you are much further away from route 28 than you really are. The pond was a great place to kayak each day and the hot tub was great to end the day with. Scott was excellent as property manager. We would definitely stay here again.
