Welcome to the Chamonix Chalet, a charming 3-bedroom A-frame located right next to Nubs Nob, 2 miles from Boyne Highlands and a quick drive to downtown Harbor Springs. This classic chalet is not only close to area ski hills, but stellar golf courses, hiking and biking trails, and only a few miles to downtown Harbor Springs, Petoskey, or the beaches of Lake Michigan.

The space
This home has three levels and features a primary queen bedroom on the main floor, along with a full bathroom (shower tub), living room, and kitchen/dining area. In the lower level you will find another queen bedroom, bunkbed room, full bathroom (standing shower), and a hangout space complete with a pool table! On the upper floor, an open loft space boasts four additional beds (2 twins, 2 queens) along with a small hangout nook. This floor plan allows the chalet to feel both cozy and spacious with plenty of spaces to enjoy! A cozy, yet open main floor living area allows guests space to gather for meals together or to snack on popcorn and watch movie after a day out on the slopes or at the beach. Send the kids downstairs to play pool or up to the loft to hang out in the additional nook. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, includes a coffee maker with complimentary pods available to guests, and also has some basic spice essentials. Air conditioning and heating as well as a washing machine and dryer are available. The chalet is wifi enabled with TVs having access to Roku live tv and Netflix.

Exterior
A gas grill is at your disposal for outdoor cooking while you dine on one of the backyard or front decks. Enjoy the pleasant surroundings of northern Michigan and make use of the outdoor hot tub & firepit after a fun-filled day of skiing or enjoying the outdoors.

The setting
This chalet is nestled in a wooded lot on a quiet street in the secluded Hidden Hamlet. It's only a stone's throw away from Nubs Nob, 5 min to Boyne Highlands, 10 min to Harbor Springs or Petoskey State Park, or 15 min to Petoskey. The perfect place to enjoy all on your own or share with a group of friends.

This is a relatively quiet neighborhood with some residents residing here year-round – please no parties/large gatherings beyond registered guests. All guests name and contact info will be shared with the HOA as required by our bylaws. Guests may be contacted if HOA rules are not followed.

The Chamonix Chalet has NO SMOKING and NO PET policies. There is ample parking space to tadem park up to 4 guest vehicles, depending on vehicle sizes. Street parking is not permitted. Please note there is a staircase leading from the driveway up to the front entrance, which opens to the lower level of the chalet.

Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Collect trash from all trash cans and put into large outdoor garbage bin. Roll the bin to the end of the driveway.
Start a load of towels in the washing machine before leaving. One additional load of soiled towels may be left. Others must be cleaned/dried before leaving.
Be sure to replace the lid of the hot tub and lower temperature to <95 degrees.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Neighborhood rules of quiet hours from 11pm-8am, no fireworks allowed
No guests beyond the number registered. ($200 fee incurred for extra guests using property).

This place was perfect for our two families while visiting the Harbor Springs area. The kids loved the outdoor space-especially the hot tub. The cabin itself was clean, comfortable and charming. The location was quiet, convenient and absolutely recommended.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the property. The hosts were great on communication, check in was a breeze, and the property was clean and tidy. If you are looking for a nice retreat in in the woods, it is ideal. In the winter the chair lifts to Nubs are very walkable. Downtown harbor springs is 10 minutes away, and if you have small children (as we do) they will love open loft, activities, and nature surrounding the property.We hope to stay here again in the future.

There were a lot of nice amenities here. The kitchen was well-equipped, the bedding was great, the pool table was fun, and we really enjoyed the fireplace. There are a few little quirky things about the house, but nothing that inhibited our enjoyment of our stay. Sara was very responsive and promptly met all of our needs. Overall, I would recommend this place to others.

Our family of five had a great stay! Great location for spending time in Harbor Springs. The house is clean and super functional. The main floor tub/shower water facet is a little quirky and a few of the outlets didn’t work - but wasn’t a big deal at all. Would definitely come back!

We are new owners of Chamonix Chalet! This home has been a VRBO host home for many years and we are so excited to continue its tradition while spending our own family vacations here with our four little kids! We absolutely fell in love with the Harbor Springs area after a family trip to this neighborhood :) We can't wait to teach our kids to ski at Nubs Nob and make memories at the local beaches every year! We love the scenic properties and quiet atmosphere of Hidden Hamlet. The proximity to Nubs Nob during ski season can't be beat! The chalet is also just a quick ride away from charming downtown Harbor Springs, which is packed with activity and places to explore. You’ll find great restaurants from family settings to fine dining, ice cream, candy and fudge, clothing, books, art galleries, a pharmacy, gift shops, outdoor gear and wear, a bike shop, hair salons, coffee shops, gourmet foods, a farmers market, and more! You’ll also find a beautiful waterfront with places to picnic or enjoy the stunning bay views.

What makes this property unique

The chalet feels so cozy, yet has plenty of space to spread out and catch a little quiet time from one another too! The classic construction and wood finishes just give it that extra charm that makes it feel like something truly special. The outdoor space is a private oasis in the woods and a perfect place to BBQ or soak in the hot tub.

We just purchased the home in July 2025 and are already starting on various improvements and upgrades in the coming year! We are looking forward to putting our personal touches on it and making it an even more fantastic stay for all of our guests on VRBO!
