INCREDIBLE “WALKABLE” RENTAL with Sawkill Creek Views

WALK TO EVERYTHING IN THE VILLAGE FROM THIS COTTAGE WITH GORGEOUS VIEWS! Located in the center of the village, this renovated cottage is open, cozy, and perfect for a Woodstock vacation or weekend getaway. Convenience is the name of the game here. No vehicle is necessary. It is a short walk to the Trailways bus stop, restaurants, shops, art galleries, and hiking. This rental is blessed with beautiful views of the Sawkill Creek and Tannery Brook.

The fully equipped kitchen has all stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. The dining area has French doors that overlook the patio and Sawkill Creek. The living room is nicely furnished and has a flat screen TV over the electric fireplace. The master bedroom, with French doors providing a lovely view of the creek, is complete with a queen size bed, dressing room, flat screen TV and full private tiled bath. The second floor has a loft equipped with a futon, hardwood flooring, TV, and more beautiful views of the creek and brook. Also located on the second floor is a second bedroom. This bedroom has a queen size bed, flat screen TV, and full private tiled bath.

This cottage has 3 cable flat screen TV's, high speed internet, washer/dryer, central AC with air exchanger and air purifier, tiled floors in kitchen and living area, covered patio and more. Bed linens and towels are provided.

You can fish in the Sawkill Creek or if you want to explore the area, you can fish or go “tubing” in the Esopus Creek in Phoenicia, ride up to Hunter Mountain for one of their festivals, take in a horse show at HITS in Saugerties, ski at Bellayre, Windham or Hunter Mountains, or visit the shopping malls in Kingston. They are all within a short driving distance.

While we are not able to claim handicap accessibility, the main living area, kitchen, master bedroom and 1.5 baths are all located on the first floor. The master bath has a large walk in shower with a built in granite seat. Doorways are 36” wide and would have no trouble accommodating a walker. Smoke and Pet free cottage.

Cozy stay with thoughtful hospitality

The space was just as described... clean, cozy, and in an awesome location. The host was extremely responsive and kind. If you’re scent sensitive like me, it may be worth checking in about laundry/ cleaning products in advance, but overall, we really loved the space!

Wonderful weekend stay

The house was very clean, the kitchen stocked with everything you would need, and there were many movies and games to choose from. Great location - we loved being able to walk to restaurants and shops and a short drive to hiking with great views.

Fantastic spot

This property is amazing. Two levels where you could share with another couple and have your own private space there’s three bathrooms, which is amazing here right on the creek. Which is absolutely beautiful and you can go down and slip into the water cool off on a hot day.This was one of the best Vrbo experiences I’ve had

We enjoyed staying right in Woodstock within walking distance of all the in-town stuff. The owners were great, providing a personalized welcome card and note and homemade cookies! The house was terrific and we had a wonderful experience. Especially loved the creek behind the house was beautiful.

Peaceful Stay in Woodstock

Traveling to Woodstock with family to enjoy the town and surrounding nature. This home was perfect. Plenty of space and well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Most amazing was the proximity to merging streams behind the house. One block from the Main Street but secluded enough to feel like you were nowhere near civilization.

Great Getaway

My cousin and I stayed here for a week and were extremely pleased. My late husband and I had stayed in several VRBO properties over the years and none of them measured up to this one. The house was charming and sat along a beautiful stream which we were able to enjoy at the outside table and chairs for coffee each morning and a glass of wine in the evening. The house was amazingly well stocked with everything you could need (except extra trash bags - the only very minor thing we could not locate in the house) I highly recommend this property for two couples or just two people, as we were Woodstock is a great little town and the surrounding Hudson Valley offers a multitude of things to do and see.

I can't express how much I love this place

This is the kind of rental where you have to pinch yourself to believe it's real. The house itself is beautiful and is fully stocked with everything you need. There is a river with a swimming hole in the backyard. While it feels secluded and private, it is a quick walk into the heart of downtown Woodstock. Every time I texted the hosts with a question, I heard back from them within minutes. This place is a treasure! To top it off, our first night there, a mother deer and her two young children visited us in the yard at dusk. The next morning when we woke up, we saw that the two baby deers had slept on the back lawn. Every day, first in the morning, then at dusk, they would visit us. I kept asking, "Is this real, or am I imagining this??" I am grateful this place exists, and that Bob and Roberta are such mindful hosts.

Spectacular!

Everything here is 5 star! The house is lovely, well stocked and so clean but the property is perfection! The creek is fabulous and even though it was a chilly rainy weekend we sat outside on the covered patio and listened to the water rushing and enjoyed the view…our last day we were able to sit by the creek and all this and within walking distance of town! We can’t wait to go back

Beautiful home, very clean and everything you need for a weekend stay. So very clean. Walkable to town, yet set back one block from the main street, nestled in along the creek. Would be perfect in spring, summer and fall! Stayed Friday and Saturday night.Went to Levon Helm studio on Highly recommend!Saturday and is only 1.8 miles away.

Wonderful Woodstock location!!

This home is just absolutely wonderful! Everything you need to stay is included in this home! The cleanliness is above par!! The organization is excellent and the notes and information are just so great! This setting and waking up next to two streams in the morning, is just so beautiful and peaceful! Two minute walk into the heart of Woodstock! So close to all the stores and restaurants! We parked our car upon arrival and didn't need it until we left!! We look forward to coming back, hopefully in the summer and staying again!!
