If this is something you would like please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate. Otherwise you won't see us unless you need us, please make yourselves at home. We do want to emphasize that the space is yours to enjoy and share (in the interest of full disclosure) with an occasional owl, deer, forest mouse, mosquito, bee, spider, snail, bat or slug because one will undoubtedly make an appearance.

Please consider our Artsy Farmstay experience may not be for everyone if you are uneasy without strong wifi, room service, rustic spaces, early morning farm noises, or really nature this may not be your cup of tea. Be honest with yourself, does this listing sound intriguing or terrifying? if the latter please rethink before booking.

Please understand that the farm is undergoing constant improvements & various projects may be underway during your visit. We try to keep it tidy but realistically that just isn't always possible.

What we truly hope, what our vision from the beginning has been is that all our guests enjoy a unique, peaceful, handcrafted experience that brings each individual that much closer to our planet, respecting her maybe just a little bit more. we hope our small farm and slice of nature provides you with a moment or more of tranquility and a fulfilling escape from society. The property is described as unique and "artsy-farmstay" with animals around, and it sort of mentions that parts of it are a work in progress. It would be more helpful if they described what the property does not have to manage expectations, for example, not having a sink or a stove in the area where food is prepared and served is really challenging. It would also be expected that what is provided is clean for guests to use. The Kurig coffee maker had green algae growing in the bottom of the water dispenser. The bedding (pillows, blankets, sheets) were stained, of low quality, and did not feel or smell clean. This Farmstay has potential with a few refreshed items. I'd encourage the owners to either finish adding a kitchen sink and stove (or even a hot plate) in the upstairs part of the unit, or to disclose that it does not have one so that people can plan a head.

Unique Rustic Stay

My two best friends and I had a really fun weekend here, despite a few of inconveniences. There's farm animals to watch and it's close to Winslow, the main street through downtown Bainbridge. It appears that the rental space is a work in progress. There's no sink upstairs in the kitchenette. The only sink is downstairs in the daylight basement room. The basement room is big and open with a king bed (very comfortable) and a double bed (not at all comfortable - thin mattress on a piece of plywood). There is a single bed upstairs, but it's very "antique" (iron with springs and all). There is one bathroom with a barn door that doesn't really provide any privacy. The space and linens are musty, and we discovered ants everywhere - not an "invasion" but many throughout the house. The only TV, which is not at all a big deal, we just didn't know, is downstairs in the area with the double bed. It's a Roku so you can stream movies, but we packed a bunch of DVDs, just not thinking. There's a dog on on the property, to deter coyotes, but he stays in a dog run and barks pretty often. If you're an empathetic dog lover, this will hurt your heart the entire time you're here. When in communication, the owner Sarah is very nice and accommodating. However, we never received a response on our second day when the door wouldn't lock. We would stay here again, once some issues are addressed.
