About this property
Contemporary Oceanfront Estate
Welcome to Your Manzanita Oceanfront Retreat!
Tucked away in one of Oregon’s most beloved coastal towns, this one-of-a-kind oceanfront estate offers an unforgettable getaway. Originally designed by acclaimed architect John Storrs and thoughtfully reimagined by James Meyer, the property sits atop just over an acre of lush, natural landscape, with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and the rugged coastline below.
Set at the end of a quiet dead-end road, the estate feels like its own private world—your only neighbors are the local wildlife. The owners have carefully curated every element of the space with comfort, beauty, and tranquility in mind. This exclusive property is only available to a few guests each year, making it a rare gem on the Oregon Coast. If you’re seeking a peaceful, design-forward coastal escape, this is your chance to experience Manzanita at its most magical.
The Property-
Sprawling over multiple oceanfront structures, the estate includes The Main House, The Nest, and The Box, each offering unique views and experiences. Most bedrooms boast stunning ocean views, and the layout encourages both connection and quiet reflection.
The Main House-
Just steps from ground level, the Main House welcomes you with floor-to-ceiling windows and breathtaking ocean views from nearly every room. The fully equipped kitchen is a dream for home cooks, featuring a Fellow coffee maker, Breville espresso machine, convection oven, and even a popcorn maker. A 10-person dining table and cozy living area—complete with wood stove, board games, and plush blankets—make it perfect for gathering.
There is no TV in the home, intentionally left out so that you can truly unplug and enjoy the natural beauty. (Wi-Fi is available if needed.)
Bedrooms in the Main House:
Primary Suite: King bed, ocean views, ensuite bathroom with shower, private deck access, and access to the hot tub and outdoor shower.
Secondary Bedroom: Queen bed with lush views of Neahkahnie Mountain, ensuite bath (shared hall access) with a shower/tub combo.
Additional features include a laundry room with washer/dryer and a garage stocked with beach toys, six chairs, and a convenient half-bath.
The Nest-
Perched above the Main House and accessible by an exterior concrete staircase, The Nest features a green roof (look out for our quirky sheep statue, Wonder!) and a cozy outdoor seating area.
Bedrooms in The Nest:
Primary Suite: King bed, incredible ocean/tree canopy views, floor-to-ceiling windows, Herman Miller reading chair, and ensuite bathroom with shower.
Second Bedroom: Queen bed with ocean views and access to a shared hall bath with shower.
Bunk Room: Triple bunk—great for kids—with ocean views and a peek at Wonder grazing on the rooftop.
The Box-
Nestled down a garden path and stone steps from the Main House, The Box is a peaceful, stand-alone escape. This private studio features a queen bed, a half bath (sink and toilet), and expansive ocean views. It’s the ultimate hideaway to unwind or reconnect with nature.
The Grounds-
Explore multiple outdoor spaces across the property, including:
A Traeger grill complete with provided pellets
A Solo Stove fire pit nestled in the trees
Several seating nooks for quiet moments
A lush lawn for play or picnics
A private trail to a rugged, rocky beach below
Prefer sandy shores? The main beach access is a short 0.5-mile walk away.
Please note that the estate is located on a steep bluff above the ocean. While there is plenty of room to roam, we recommend extra caution with children around the hillside and outdoor staircases.
Whether you’re gathering with loved ones, retreating to write or reflect, or simply soaking in the view from the hot tub, this distinctive property invites you to slow down and savor the best of the Oregon Coast.
