This apartment was the perfect location for our 2-family Christmas holiday (8 people). Bright and well decorated, the kitchen was just the right size for the many home-cooked meals we ate there, and only a few minutes walk to multiple grocery and provisioning stores.
We were notified well in advance of the 'no shoes in the apartment' policy. There were plenty of extra towels and paper products/cleaning products already in the cabinets.
Three nit-picky details:
1. The tv remote for the living room tv was DOA, even after the staff provided fresh batteries. The old batteries had leaked and corroded the contacts, which will have to be thoroughly cleaned before this remote will work again. The reason this wasn't a big deal was that the cable box remote could control the tv well enough to meet our needs.
2. One of the keys for the first floor apartment front door deadbolt (yellow key cap) was a little sticky and had to be twisted a little too hard to lock and unlock the deadbolt. I was concerned about breaking it off in the lock, but that didn't happen.
3. The kitchen sink, while a really nice size and nice design "style-wise", was not very functional when it came to spraying the food bits into the strainer cup. The bottom of the sink didn't have enough slope to move the bits to the center drain very well, and the strainer cup rim was actually raised about 1/8" above the surface of the sink, making it even more difficult to get the bits into it. We gave up and used a ton of paper towels to wipe out the bits by hand rather than rinse them down to the strainer cup. If you're going to eat out every meal, this is the kitchen sink for you! (LOL). Else, if you're doing a lot of cooking like us, be ready to hand wipe the bits off the bottom of the sink, unless the owner gets a better fitting strainer cup.
I know I'm being hyper-critical here, but the bottom line is we'd stay there again should time and occasion permit. It's a beautiful place!
