Wonderful!

We can’t wait to go back. The house is spacious and cozy with so much privacy. It even snowed while we were there and we got to watch it fall outside while sitting comfortably watching TV by the warmth if a wood-burning stove. The dogs had fun too:)

Glorious Getaway

What an awesome house. My large family had the most amazing weekend playing in the snow, and having a wonderful home in the mountains. We were able to enjoy sledding, playing in the snow, and relaxing in the hot tub! Everything we needed was supplied, never had to leave the property! What a blessing to have such an accomodating host!!!! Looking forward to going back again!

A very cozy and spacious cabin with pride of ownership in a quiet and peaceful location. Perfect weekend getaway location for getting into the holiday mood.

We were lucky and had a beautiful snowfall, the whole forest area was gorgeous. We were two families, a group of nine, and there was plenty of space while being cozy, plenty of natural light too. All nine of us absolutely loved the place, it's a real gem and is equipped with everything. The house feels very clean and new, very fresh sheets, comfortable beds, great kitchen. The floors are heated, there are two furnaces, additionally each bedroom has the possibility to heat with a wall heater (we did not use ours). The bathrooms are immaculate, there is hot water and clean tubs for a bath. Plenty of room to wonder around the forest in the back, we had little adventures with the kids and built a fort. Communication with James was prompt and easy. We loved staying here instead of the bustling center of Big Bear, and will be back again.

Comfortable, clean and cozy house

We stayed in this comfortable, clean and cozy house over the weekend. The house easily accommodated two families, a total of four adults and five children. It can easily fit more people if you are looking to come in a bigger company. The house set-up is such that there is plenty of room to tailor to various interests and age groups. I’ve never lived in a house with two living rooms. It turned out to be very convenient: one living room is on the main floor and another one is on the lower level. The lower-level living room has a large TV with an audio system. BTW, the second TV is located in one of the bedrooms. That room also has a telescope to watch the stars at night. The kitchen has all you need and even more, modern appliances, cookware, utensils, dinnerware, glassware, metal skewers and more. The water filter installed on the kitchen sink has two outlets: one with the purified drinking water and another one tailored for rinsing fruits. It took a while to figure this out, with owner’s help. Bathrooms were equipped with new soft white towels; there was plenty of shampoo, conditioner and soap in all bathrooms. I liked the high ceilings. There was plenty of sun light. Even though it was cold with snow outside, the house was very warm. Windows insulate very well. The house stays evenly warm because it has radiant floor heat. The patio faces a forest. No neighbors are in sight. It is very quiet there. Nature is beautiful. Every morning our kids started the day by exploring the surroundings. The owner of the house James proactively reached out to us before we arrived to make sure we have all information. He was fast to respond to any queries and was very hospitable. Stopping in a supermarket on the way to the house is recommended as the house is about 15-20 minutes from downtown Big Bear Lake and stores/cafes/ slopes. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it.
