About this property

Serenity on Turtle Lake

Get-a-way to serenity in Minnesota Lakes Country in this thoughtfully-appointed one-bedroom, one-bathroom house ideally located just 45 from Fargo/Moorhead and 20 minutes from Detroit Lakes.

This private house is clean, comfortable and packed with everything you need for a relaxing vacation- whether you want to stay in or go out. Cook at home with the fully-equipped kitchen and outdoor BBQ with table/chairs/umbrella. And enjoy a glass of wine in the evening by the fire table.

The spacious bedroom has a queen bed, comfy arm chair, luggage bench and cable TV, with windows looking out on wooded privacy. And the living room includes a sofa with chaise that pulls out into a queen bed for additional comfort.

The full sized bathroom includes bath/shower as well as a towel warmer to help with that cozy feel on chilly nights! Towels and hairdryer also provided.

The house is nestled next to a pond and adjacent to Turtle Lake with access through a walking path past the owner's cabin. We are happy to provide guests access to the level, sandy beach and crystal clear water perfect for swimming, boating and fishing. There is a public access ramp so bring your toys - or borrow ours: Choose from two kayaks, a canoe and a paddle boat.

And if you'd rather go out than stay in, the house is ideally located to explore lakes country. Whether it's the boutiques in DL, flea market at Shady Hollow or skiing at Detroit Mountain (or maybe Troll Hunting?), you are near it all. And the dining options are ever-expanding, from high-end hot-spots like Parallel 46 and Spankey's Stone Hearth to road-house pubs and the newest Lakes Fikka coffee house just minutes away.

A great base for outdoor fun, too, whether it's ice fishing, skiing, snow mobiling or just curling up by the fireplace.

The host is a husband and wife that are incredibly kind! They also host a brunch guests are invited to, and offer rheir kayaks, lake access, and cannoe to guests. I was here for work and always stayed in hotels, after this, ill only use a property rental. It was such a better experience for a long-term stay! They even stocked the refrigerator with food because my arrival was so late. It is a very peaceful property with beatiful scenery. The cabin is very comfrotable and cozy! Also has mostly a full kitchen, which was a huge plus!
