Mark and Lisa went above and beyond to make our stay truly wonderful. The lake cottage was spacious and clean, beautifully decorated and including everything we needed to be comfortable. We enjoyed swimming in Turtle lake, floating on the Lily Pad, and hanging out in chairs on the little beach. Had we stayed longer, we would have used the kayaks generously provided! The kitchen was small but had everything we needed to prepare/cook our meals. We visited family in Fargo (a 40-50 minute drive away) and went to the Farmer's Market in Detroit Lakes (20 minute drive). Staying at Serenity Cottage on Turtle Lake was SO much more relaxing and comfortable than staying at a hotel! We highly recommend this jewel of a place and are deeply grateful to Mark and Lisa for everything they did for us!!

The host is a husband and wife that are incredibly kind! They also host a brunch guests are invited to, and offer rheir kayaks, lake access, and cannoe to guests. I was here for work and always stayed in hotels, after this, ill only use a property rental. It was such a better experience for a long-term stay! They even stocked the refrigerator with food because my arrival was so late. It is a very peaceful property with beatiful scenery. The cabin is very comfrotable and cozy! Also has mostly a full kitchen, which was a huge plus!

We enjoyed our family stay. They were so kind and friendly. In area to drop one of our kiddos at camp cormorant. Got a pleasant surprise to catch the fair rides in town. Weather was great and people in area are so easy to get along with. We highly recommend this stay!
