Absolutely incredible home. The photos on the listing don’t do it justice. The owners have put so much love and care into the home and the guest’s experience. We had such a fantastic time and the kids absolutely love it. We were all so heartbroken to leave.
We had one of the best girls weekends in this beautiful home. The fine details were just something else, and I can’t say enough about the hosts, they were so amazing with communication. We have been going on girls weekends for a few years now, and I would say this home is well worth coming back again and again. Would definitely recommend this home as a top place to stay.

Thank you for your kind words. We try to ensure all our guests have a great holiday. A time to relax and enjoy Cape Breton. We had welcome you back anytime. As you were exceptional guests.
We had a wonderful stay! The house and property are beautifully maintained and well stocked. The homeowners have truly thought of everything. There's even a milkshake maker! The dock at sunset is lovely. We would definitely stay again.
What a peaceful getaway. Absolutely stunning scenery and an amazing cottage. We were in awe and speechless. Host left us homemade cookies and a bottle of wine. Would highly recommend this place.

Thank you, it was a pleasure hosting you and your family. We would welcome you back anytime.
This beautiful home on Bras D'or Lake was an absolute sanctuary that allowed us to truly rest and recharge to celebrate my husband's brithday. Not only is the cabin immaculately clean, not only is the kitchen THE MOST fun to cook in, but every corner of this home is infused with such thoughtful details—right down to the cabinet handles—making it the nicest place we have ever stayed. The cabin is infused with love and personality. It did not feel like a rental, it felt like we were staying at a family member's home. We spent our days bird watching, relaxing, and fishing. We saw a pair of bald eagles nestled on a log, waiting out a rain storm. We saw a bunch of cormorants diving and eating fish. We loved watching the Barn Swallows play with each other. We were incredibly grateful to have some fishing gear available to use, as one of our poles broke on the ride up. We didn't catch anything but we had a blast. We also loved watching the two little fox friends who visited us every evening. We were sad to leave, but will absolutely be back. If you have the opportunity to stay here, take it! It is a true sanctuary and a cut above the rest when it comes to vacation rentals.

Thank you for being such a wonderful guest. We would be more than happy to host you again. In the future.
Absolutely gorgeous! Well equipped with nice welcoming touches like fresh cookies and a bottle of wine. We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards and watching the hummingbirds feed on the hostas growing just off the deck. Amazing place!
This property was truly amazing. I've stayed in many places around the world, but this home is a true work of art. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are unlike anything I've experienced before. Every corner reflects incredible care and design. The photos simply can't capture how special this place really is. It's something that needs to be seen in person to be fully appreciated.

That is so kind of you to say! Thank you! It was our pleasure to host you and your group, please come back anytime to our beautiful island 😉
The description/photos do not do it justice! The location was perfect for exploring the Cape Breton area. The house is perfectly situated to enjoy the gorgeous views of the lake. So peaceful and relaxing! The house has so many unique and interesting pieces throughout giving it so much character. The kitchen is one of most well-appointed kitchens we've ever experienced. Even had a milkshake maker! The great room was cozy and comfortable (we were 3 couples) and the deck was perfect for enjoying morning coffee and/or sitting in the hot tub. The cozy nooks in the loft look perfect for young kids. We didn't get the opportunity to use the kayaks or paddleboards (due to weather) but there were plenty of "toys" available to enjoy in/on the lake. Little touches like chocolate chip cookies on arrival and even water shoes for the lake were appreciated. Great communication with the host too. My only regret was not getting to play PacMan.Highly Recommend!!
Wonderful log cabin with many artistic and memorable design features. Very unique in every way! We loved our stay here and hope to return some day. The host was extremely accommodating and the cabin fully stocked with everything you could possibly need for an enjoyable stay. This was our first trip to Nova Scotia and we loved every minute of it! Thank you for making this beautiful place available to us! M & J Harris, California
The problem far exceeded expectations and the hosts were marvelous and quick to respond to any of our questions. Would recommend this Oasis to anyone!Thank You Robb YoungPS the note wine & chocolate chip cookies Were wonderful unexpected surprise!
Our stay in Baddeck was nothing short of incredible. We’ve stayed in many vacation rentals over the years, and this was honestly the best place we have ever stayed while travelling and one of the absolute highlights of our entire Maritime trip. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how much thought and care had gone into creating an exceptional guest experience. The property itself was beautiful, spotless, comfortable, and perfectly equipped with everything we needed for our stay. What truly set this place apart were all of the little touches that transformed a great stay into an unforgettable one. The kayaks, paddle boards, fishing opportunities, and access to the water provided endless entertainment for both the adults and the kids and allowed us to experience Cape Breton in a way we never could have otherwise. Some of our favourite memories from the trip were made right here at the property. The welcoming touches, including the delicious cookies waiting for us, made us feel more like guests in a friend’s home than visitors in a rental property. It’s those thoughtful details that make a place special and memorable. The location was perfect for exploring Baddeck, the Cabot Trail, and all that Cape Breton has to offer, while still feeling peaceful, private, and relaxing when we returned each evening. If you’re considering booking this property, don’t hesitate. We would return in a heartbeat and will be recommending it to friends and family for years to come.
Wow, wow, wow .. amazing and beautiful in every way. Spacious, spotless and fun. We all wished we had just booked the cabin for the entire 10 days and had more time to sit on the dock with our coffee or wine, play in the game loft and just enjoy the cabin and grounds. Next time!! Don't hesitate. Oh, and I forgot to mention the cookies and wine that greeted us upon arrival - best cookies ever. We ended up meeting our host and had a grand time hearing about the cabin and it's unique features.
