All of us loved staying at Francesca’s VRBO. You can walk to the Vatican and enjoy cappuccino at La Florentino a restaurant downstairs on the corner. You will not regret booking this lovely property!

Directly accross the street from the VRBO called Mercato Trionfale. We visited it 4 times during our stay. It is the largest fresh market for chesses, meats, seafood, pasta, vegetables, probably in the world. You can buy items to take back to the VRBO and also find places to eat already cooked food Do not miss it.The area is quiet and safe located off the tourists track in a Roman neighborhood. A delicous and reasonably priced osteria located within a 2 minute walk just around the corner is VostrOsteria. Save room for the homemade gelato made to order at your table.Francesca makes check in easy sending you all of the information ahead of time. Although we never met her in person, she is very friendly and helpful calling several times to make sure everything was going well. The only problem we had was the slow washing machine. It is a combo washer-dryer. It takes hours to complete a load. It may have been operator error... The VRBO is very clean and an extra plus in the large refrigerator - freezer. If you wake up in the night and walk out of your room you do not need to look for a light switch as hallway lights automatically turn on lighting your way. We had several Roman cousins over 2x for dinner. The kitchen is easy to cook in and the dining room take is large. Last, the showers are the biggest any of us have seen in Rome or even our own homes. The Vatican Roof Garden apartment in Rome was the PERFECT place for our group. There were six of us (3 couples) and we stayed for 8 days. The location was great which allowed us to walk to most everything we wanted to do in Rome. Francesca the host was so easy to work with and communicated easily. We even worked with Francesca to have a professional chef prepare a wonderful dinner in the apartment for us one evening of our stay, which was fabulous. Very memorable trip - highly recommend the Vatican Roof Garden for your visit to Rome.

Our family of 6 adults appreciated the apartment was in a more residential area. We were a short walk to the Vatican and an easy Metro ride to the Colosseum, but enjoyed being away from the crowds. The multiple and well appointed bathrooms were especially nice. The beds were adequate.

Amazing location and accommodations

Locating the building then finding the apartment was challenging, but after that, it was perfect! The common area leaves very little seating, but once we decided to just gather around the dining table, that issue was solved. There is an amazing open market right across the street where you can find anything from food to clothing. Great restaurants we could walk to in minutes. We will return again on our next Rome adventure.

I am a physical therapist , but actually my family moved in the USA because my husband is a military pilot and actually I can’t work in this country so I spend my time cooking and eating! Unfortunately! And clearly to be a mother .

All the bedrooms are with a private bathroom, the double living room allows you to eat in comfort or rest on a comfortable sofa .
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook.
You can even see Rome from the top of the Terrace ( NOT on the same floor of the apartment ) made available to customers.

I love this apartment because it is very bright .
The Ceiling is almost 4 meters high.
The perimeter walls are almost 1 meter wide.
It is an imposing palace of the early 900s.
It is in a street in the center of Rome full of restaurant , cafeteria, banks , drugstore and shops.
3 minutes walking from the subway and few blooms from Vatican City.
