Our family of 10 used the house as a base for visiting Bryce Canyon and Zion. We found the house to be spacious with lots of places for the kids to explore. It could have housed several more people! Gordon walked us through the arrival and was responsive anytime we reached out.

We had a great time in Mt Carmel.This is our second time staying at the house for a family reunion and loved it as much as last time. The house is old and corky but clean and had everything we need. The boys loved golfing across the street, the girls loved the hot tub, the kids loved the ping pong table and being outside. We will be coming back again next year.

If anything the pictures showed less than what’s available. This home is perfect for big groups. We held our family vacation here and with 24 people still felt that we have lots of room and our own space. All the kids loved the pool and the really close hikes.

Perfect for our needs. It was very clean and had a lot of beds and games. The A/C was great and slept well. The location was perfect with swimming and gas station and able to get to places around us for hiking quickly. I will use the again for a youth group in the future.

Our school club's stay at this VRBO was an amazing experience! Mr. Gordon was very helpful and even provided us with a few extra things when we needed them. The house was very spacious with plenty of room for big groups of people. The kitchen was equipped with dishes and utensils to accomodate our every need. Great time in Southern Utah!

The house was a great fit for our large family gathering. Lots of room and the back patio was fabulous! There was a little traffic noise for the large front bedroom, but it was tolerable. Also, having an RV park next door worked well for us with a couple people arriving by RV.

Great location for a large multi family gathering. The host was caring and very responsive. The house is a little quirky, but that just added to the fun. Plenty to do for the adults and kids. Close to Bryce and Zion along with other local hiking trails and activities.

Fit our needs perfectly

The accommodations of the house and location were great. The amount of bedrooms/beds and bathrooms and amount of space to spread out for 15 people was the best thing. The outdoor space off the back of the property is really nice. The owner was super easy to reach and stay in contact with before and during our stay. We would definitely stay there again!

Great spot for our church youth group home base

Great overall experience

The house is fully equipped for families with or without kids. Gordon is a great host. Very attentive. Nice personality. There is a natural water stream behind the house that is relaxing. We also soaked into the Jacuzzi after the hiking days.

Zion Family vacation/reunion

The teens/kids LOVED the playroom... and so did the adults. This house was so huge, there was lots of space to be alone or playing tag, even with extra guests visiting. Perfect place for large family gatherings! Owner was quick to respond and made sure we had lots of essentials. Even brought us a new coffeemaker so we'd have it for the morning. There were plenty of beds, bedding, and towels.

Amazing large house great location

We plan to return here to this house we loved it so much. There was plenty of space for the kids to disappear and the adults to not hear them. The kitchen was huge. Plenty of parking. Great outdoor patio that is private. Great central location! Communication while there was seamless and helpful. We loved having access to the pool across the street. They also have a restaurant if you want an easy meal.

Perfect for our needs

This home was perfect for our large family group. Close enough to explore Zion, large enough to accommodate a big crowd with ample room to spread out and hang out and play. The kitchen is huge, well-equipped. The house itself is older, of course, with quite a history and lots of character, but comfortable. The owner was very accessible and went above and beyond, even obtaining us some large full-length mirrors for a wedding video we were filming. Overall, our family loved this place, and we’ve got some great memories there. Highly recommended.

This was the home of Fern Morrison, who along with her husband Jack were the founders of the Best Western East Zion Thunderbird Lodge, Thunderbird Golf Course, Thunderbird Restaurant and more. The area seen today and this house is what they built in their life time. The house has been added onto over the years.

What makes this property unique

All bedrooms have their own private bathroom. The living room has two pull-out sofas. The kitchen is large country kitchen. The loft and one bedroom are the only rooms on the second level.
