Welcome to your cozy getaway just steps from the beautiful Chetco River. Nestled in a serene and safe park resort setting, this stylish and spotless 600-square-foot cottage is the perfect escape for nature lovers seeking a peaceful Southern Oregon Coast retreat.

Start your mornings with the soothing sounds of birdsong as you sip coffee on the private back deck, then spend quiet afternoons by the water reading or simply unwinding. Just beyond your doorstep is a river viewpoint, an ideal spot to take in the sights and sounds of the Chetco.

Inside, you’ll find a comfortable queen bed in a cozy main-level bedroom for easy access and privacy, plus a spacious king bed in the upstairs sleeping loft. Please note: the loft has 4-foot ceilings and it also has an open rail overlooking the lower level, so this home is not safe for young children.

Conveniently located just minutes from the Port of Brookings and downtown, you’re close to restaurants, wineries, breweries, shopping, and all the local happenings, while still enjoying a tranquil riverside setting.

Great place, small but nice. Parking is good for one vehicle, The loft floor to ceiling is only 4 feet in height. Overall comfortable though.

Oh my goodness Moon dance cottage was soo clean, and I am super picky about where I stay being clean! The beds were even comfortable! I had an amazing time. Also the location could not have been better, the cottage was super close to Azalea park, and although the location felt removed and quite, it was just two minutes from town. I suppose I am doing myself no favors telling you all how great it was, because now Moon dance cottage will be booked a lot!

The property met our needs as a place to end the day. There is no river access and the seating area pictured with the listing is a common area between two other cabins. When we first entered the property there was an overwhelming smell of cleaner over either smoke or pet. We opened all of the doors and windows and the cabin aired out with no residual smell. The ceilings in the kitchen/hallway are low so if you are over 6' tall that may be an issue. The stairs to the loft are very steep and shallow. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed.

Moondance is a cute little cottage style small space that is just enough room to relax and enjoy. It is decorated nicely and very welcoming. There is a wonderful outdoor sitting space that also has a privacy fence. Also, there are plenty of supplies for whatever you need. The only drawback for tall people is that the loft space is about 4 feet high. So you have to duck while you’re in the loft where the king size bed is located. There is a river about 100 yards from the cottage with seating for two at the overlook. The space is designated smoke free however, it definitely smelled of lingering smoke and the smell was covered up by floral spray. The management company never responded to our concern about the smoke smell.
