Jan and Tom's cabin was very well kept, stocked, clean, and organized. Nice secluded and peaceful location. Good communication with the hosts. We would definitely visit again.

Cozy cabin with all the extras! Wonderful home to rest and relax and get away. Lovely attention to detail. From swinging on the front porch with morning coffee, to napping by the wood burning stove, to eating dinner on the back deck, you’ll enjoy this comfy cabin.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Opting to stay at VRBO properties as opposed to hotels I have a lot of experience and I can say this is one of the best. The cabin is extremely well stocked with everything you need. It was clean, spacious and meticulously maintained. My only regret is that we didnt get more time there. We had a wedding in Bellefonte and therefore didnt get to explore as much as we would have liked. But even in the short time we were there we took advantage of all this amazing home had to provide. Would go back without hesitation.

We had such a wonderful stay at this peaceful cabin in the woods! 🌲✨ The setting is calm and tranquil, yet the cabin itself has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable getaway. Jan and Tom are amazing hosts—they’ve thought of every detail, from fresh towels and bottled water to thoughtful touches like booster seats for the kids. The cabin was spotless, communication was excellent, and we felt completely at home from the moment we arrived. One of our favorite moments was sitting around the fire in the evening, sharing stories together—it made the stay even more special. It’s rare to find a place that combines both comfort and nature so perfectly. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing escape—we’ll definitely be coming back!

My wife and I had two nights in this cabin, and were sad to leave. There’s much to recommend. Lots of room, great sittin’ porch out front and covered deck in the back. If you like to cook, you’ll find everything you need and a few things more besides. Thoughtfully appointed throughout, comfortable beds, quiet, back in the woods. A few miles of beautiful road to town gets you any supplies you might need. We are hikers, and appreciated the adjacent Sproul State Forest with it’s many trails. The dining room table features a large inlaid topo map of the area, which helped with planning our outing. Pellet stove works great. Outside fire circle, with wood available on site. Jan was super nice and available. We’d like to go back. Highly recommended.

I booked this cabin for a weekend of hiking and relaxing with my father, brothers, son and nephews, 3 generations of us. Everything about this stay from booking to check-in was easy and hassle free. Communication was excellent and every detail was taken into consideration. From the time we walked in the cabin we were in awe of the personal touches that made it feel like home. Everything you need for a comfortable stay in a private cottage, yet it felt like 5 star hotel service. The setting outside with a fire pit, enclosed screened gazebo with table seating, plus an outside deck also with table seating, barbecue grill. It’s all perfect! And there are hiking trails literally outside the back door! The front porch is perfect for morning relaxation on the bench swing. Tom and Jan thank you for the wonderful weekend! I would love to return for a longer stay and would definitely recommend this place to my family and friends!
