This was a fantastic stay for our long weekend getaway. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful with communication from start to finish. The property itself is stunning, with an amazing panoramic view of the surrounding ridges. Enjoying morning coffee on the deck as the sun rose over the mountains was absolutely spectacular — easily the highlight of our trip. The location strikes the perfect balance: beautifully off the beaten path for peace and quiet, yet still close enough to town for convenient access to restaurants and groceries. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would happily return!

The cabin was great to stay in. Very clean and stocked. The only thing, which was probably my fault, I didnt realize we needee to bring sheets and towels. Luckily family were close by and provided them for us. Overall, a great place to stay for our daughter's wedding.
This was my second time staying at Natures Best and it gets better each time with the change of seasons. Terry is an amazing host as always and goes above and beyond to accommodate your needs. The house has everything you need and then some. Can’t wait to get back !!!
We had a great stay at Natures Beat. Terry is a great host. Enjoyed drinking my morning coffee on the porch looking out over the mountains and at night sitting by the campfire making mountain pies. It is was a great time reconnecting with family and nature. We enjoyed fishing, hiking and canoeing. The bonus was seeing momma bear and her 3 cubs come through the yard!!

We had a great time staying at Nature’s Best this weekend!! From the cozy cabin stocked with everything we needed, to the gorgeous view from the deck and surrounding areas, it was truly a great place to get away and enjoy a relaxing weekend. The cabin was in close proximity to some great fishing spots as well a restaurants and general stores. The host answered all of our questions ahead of time, and has done a great job making updates and upgrades to the cabin which made our stay even more enjoyable. We will definitely be returning to Nature’s Best. You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay here as well!
We spent a long fall weekend up at Terry’s cabin in the mountains and couldn’t have had a better time. The house is wonderful and is complete with a beautiful property. The house is stocked with anything you could need, and the house has a very cozy feel. With the three beds and three bunk beds it can fit plenty of people! The fire place at the end of the driveway is perfect for a night time hang out. There was plenty of wildlife to view and is perfectly situated to plenty of public land.
We can’t wait to stay again!

We enjoyed a white Christmas at Nature’s Best and were warm and cozy in this Vrbo! Low temp 4 degrees but we were never cold indoors. We enjoyed our stay- mornings with coffee by the fireplace, football on TV, and walks on Queens Run. The sunrise and sunset views are beautiful. The owner was easy to communicate with and very responsive. The drive and sidewalks plowed for us making it easy to get in and out. A lovely spot for respite and relaxation.

The 1st day we saw a bear and some deer. We were there for Penn State game. The boys went to game and the girls went site seeing to Hyner View and saw gliders take off the view was awesome. Lost power Saturday night it was not long til the generator kicked in. The grandchildren loved it, there were outdoor games. Would definitely stay there again. The cabin is well stocked so if you forget something its probably there. The owners are very friendly.
Thank you Turney Family

I'm glad you had a fun weekend. You left Nature's Best in excellent condition.
Please come visit again.
We're four adults and two small dogs who visited Nature's Best for a long weekend to host a family cookout. The cabin is clean and tidy and well equipped, Terry is an excellent and communicative host. Staying at the cabin has the feel of visiting your grandparents, more so than staying in a rental, as it still maintains much of it's 1980s vintage character and has a family feel to the decorating.
Almost all of our time at the cabin was spent outside on the deck or at the outdoor fireplace. We saw bears, deer, turkeys, and (mostly heard) dozens of different kinds of birds. The location is remarkably peaceful and quiet, with only a few vehicles driving by during the entire weekend. Other than the occasional vehicle, you can't hear any civilization whatsoever.
We lost power for a short time, but the generator kicked on automatically so it was barely noticed. Honestly, unless you have unrealistic expectations of a cabin in the woods, there is nothing here to complain about. We'll definitely return again.

The homeowner, Terry, is very pleasant and genuinely enjoys being a host. Prior to the trip, he provided excellent information about the local area and detailed directions to the cabin for the best route to travel. He even worked out a military discount for us since my husband and I are both veterans.
The well-stocked cabin is situated in a beautiful private wooded area surrounded by deer and other wildlife.
Terry had lots of indoor activities available for the times we were stuck in the cabin on rainy days and there were plenty of large rooms to spread out when we needed space.
The new HVAC system heated the cabin nicely since it was still cool in early May, to us Floridians. This would definitely be an ideal location for a relaxing getaway when the weather is perfect for sitting outside on one of the covered porches enjoying a warm cup of coffee or hot chocolate.
There was a fireplace outside that would have been perfect for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. The timing and purpose of our trip was not for a vacation, unfortunately, but why not be comfortable while fulfilling a family obligation? Thank you, Terry, for allowing us to stay in your lovely cabin!

About the host
Hosted by Terry Turney
Natures Best has been in our family since 1980. My father in law built the original cabin at that time. When he bought the property is was just 16 acres of woods on a single lane dirt road with no electricity or improvements. An addition was added around 1990. While my children were growing up we spent every holiday, parts of the summer and the week between Christmas and New Years at Nature's Best. They learned to respect and love Mother Nature. Now my grandchildren are enjoying their time at Nature's Best. Nature's best is now at the end of a paved road but it is still very secluded. Nature's Best is where memories are made and there are never any regrets. If you don't believe me, come visit and see for yourself. Peace to all, Terry
