This house is truly amazing. Kyle was so easy to work with and made sure everything was perfect for us. The house had every amenity you could possibly need or imagine. It was the ideal house and location for a long weekend celebration with over 20 friends and family. Will definitely rent again!

This property is AMAZING. The pictures on line absolutely DO NOT do the place justice. Sea Oats is 10 times nicer in person ! Kyle, the property manager, was OUTSTANDING. He was so helpful, always responsive, answered every question and concern my guests and I had, and made the whole process a joy from start to finish. Vicki, the house manager, was equally wonderful. We LOVED this place! The listing descriptions and pictures were right on! So beautiful and tranquil. The layout was amazing, the décor gorgeous, and the amenities were to die for! The property was spotless and everything was in working order. Christine is FAB-U-LOUS - it was like she was a long lost friend - very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We took advantage of the kayak rentals, had a sunset dolphin cruise that picked us up right from the bay dock in the back yard. Take advantage of the grocery service - that was a god send to have groceries there when we arrived. We would definitely recommend this property and hope to be back again soon!

Paradise on the Gulf

Like myself, I don't think any of us expected what we experienced at Sea Oats when we were invited to celebrate my niece Kerry's birthday bash there. It was the ultimate resort padadise and we had it all to ourselves. Every single feature was magnificent, from the beautiful pool (situated in the middle of everything) to the well-equipped kitchen and warm, relaxing rooms to the kayaks by the shore to the comfortable bedrooms with spacious bathrooms to the perfect views of the magnificent Florida sunrises with dolphins splashing in the water. It was a weekend we will always remember. It ranks right up there with any 4-star hotel, except it was more like a large home that made you feel like an invited guest. A perfect spot for any special occasion.

Absolutely amazing

Not only was the Sea Oats just a beautiful house and at the beautiful location but Christine was so accommodating. I cannot say enough great things. We had our wedding ceremony and reception there and it was originally planned for sept 16,2017 and hurricane Irma had other plans and Christine and Michelle (the estate owner) were more than accommodating to us to make our wedding still happen as planned. The day wedding was just more than we had ever hoped for and our guests had the time of our lives. We can’t wait to go back and relive our special day sometime in the future! Thank you so much!

Sea Oats was the perfect setting !!

Our family of 13 enjoyed a wonderful stay at Sea Oats!! The accommodations were just perfect for us!! The house has SO many amenities and we were lacking nothing during our stay. There were lots of activities and we took advantage of all of them. The kitchen is just amazing!! Our family loves to cook so we took advantage of the great kitchen area.... We were surprised to find that the upstairs guest rooms were accessed from the "outside" but this did not hinder our family at all. The 9 year old twins were in the "bunk room" and so shared their parents' bathroom. This was also not an issue with our group! The grounds are very well kept and there is much wildlife to see and many beautiful plants. We enjoyed going to restaurants as well (both by boat) and via car. Our stay was absolutely perfect!!! Christine, the manager, was outstanding in helping us from the time that we decided to book our "anniversary gathering" and was there to tell us goodbye as we left!! We would highly recommend this property to our friends and other relatives!!! A perfect and special week was had by all.....

Awesome Home & Location

We had our 60th birthday reunion for a large group of college buddies (21). The house is very well appointed, lots of room even with 21 of us we had plenty of elbow room. Excellent condition, everything worked as advertised. The pool is great for relaxing and comfortably warm. The back dock is a fun place to mingle and throw out a hook into the lagoon (caught a bunch of catfish but threw them back). Easy access to gulf beach and boating activities. We rented bikes and the ride to the little village of Captiva is nice, a few bars and boutiques as well. We hired a chef for our stay and he was superb (Chef Palo Felix),great food and easy going manner would highly recommend. We loaded up at the local Costco and Publix for extra food and bev and plenty of space in frig for beer wine etc. Tons of dishes, glasses and pretty much everything you need is there. Plus plenty of towels and sheets were clean and comfy, there is a washer dryer too. Guest house is a nice setup if some want privacy separation. Manager Christine very helpful. Can't wait to return.

Your magical stay is only Captiva away

Are ten stars possible? Because Sea Oats deserves them all. The stars on this review cannot match the stars in my heart after this magical getaway. Upon arrival, Christine gave us an amazing first impression of how loved this home was. She was kind, energetic, positive.. the host you have always hoped for! This home has character in its simplicity and warm details. There is a light to it that captivates you. It was clean, spacious, and open to the nature that surrounded us. Speaking of nature, the landscaping is one you will never forget. The trees are so green and the wildlife is so happy. This home was also equipt with any needs we had, or may have had. The beach is also right across the street! To stop myself from running out of space on this review; my closest friends got married here. It was magical, authentic, and left a mark on my heart. Whether it be a family gathering, wedding, or simply an adventure, you want to explore this experience. I truly look forward to returning one day with my family.

Stormy but Fun

Both the owner and property manager where very gracious and involved in helping us through the week we did have a hurricane on the island (out of their control) however the things they could control where taking care of beautifully. I can imagine what a week will look at this property with great weather - the owner has promised to take care of us in the future which was above and beyond. I would highly recommend this property and the people the run it to anyone thinking about this area.

Mother's 90th Birthday Celebration

Sea Oats is a beautiful property, Concierge and property manager were wonderful and very helpful. The property was also immaculate. There was 20 of us staying on the property for four days to celebrate my mother's 90th Birthday. Unfortunately the weather was horrible so we could not participate in many outside activities, the good news the house was spacious enough for us to all find our own space. We cooked all our meals in the house the kitchen appliances, supplies and seating were plentiful. We also rented a boat from Captiva Cruises that picked us up from Sea Oats Dock which was helpful due to my mother being handicapped. There was only one negative I was very specific about my mother being handicap needing a ramp and they said they could accommodate with no problem. The boat arrived and had no handicap ramp thanks to my husband and brother we were able to get her on board. For reference they do have another boat that is equipped .We all enjoyed the cruise all though we did not get a sunset the crew was wonderful and wildlife and dolphins were plentiful. We took advantage of the tennis and basketball court when weather permitted the court was in awesome condition. Kyle also help arrange spa treatments and photographer. The only negative is the property advertises 11 bedrooms there are only nine. In the guest house two bedrooms have adjoining bathrooms, and states the third bedroom has access to the bathrooms. Unfortunately the only access the third bedroom has is going through the other bedrooms to get to the bathroom. Not so convenient if you want your privacy. Last but not least the only access to the second floor is by going outside and using the stairwells stationed on both sides of the house. This can be an issue if you have elders using in inclement weather and very noisy for the guest staying in the rooms next to the stairwells. All in all we would stay at this property again but would reduce the amount of people so we could arrange different sleeping arrangements. Once again Kyle and Vicki were very helpful and there to answer questions if we needed anything

It is an understatement to simply say we enjoyed our stay at Sea Oats. We absolutely loved it! We were wondering if it could live up to our expectations. It exceeded them! There were 11 of us from ages 15 to 84. Everyone loved it! There was something for every age. We loved the beautiful, spacious house. It was so nice to be together for meals, etc. but each do our own activity --be it swimming in the fantastic pool, ,tennis, ping pong, the beach, kayaking, paddle boarding, or simply relaxing with a book while enjoying the beautiful weather. We very much enjoyed the sunset cruise,and the delicious meals from Paper Fig Catering. The gourmet kitchen was a delight to prepare daily meals in. The only recommendation I would have is a minor one. My son recommended hooks in the bathroom for hanging towels and robes. Many thanks to Vicki and Michelle for all the amazing help. It was a phenomenal vacation, one we will relive and remember for a lifetime!

We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful setting for our wedding or family vacation!

Sea Oats Luxury Estate provided the best wedding week we could have asked for. We were blown away by the beauty and vast array of experiences we could enjoy on the property that we rarely had to leave. The property is very well maintained and intuitively designed so that the majority of your needs are met before you even realize it! What a blessing this experience has been for our family. We look forward to visiting again in the future!

Perfect spot for our 4 generation family celebration!

Sea Oats could not have been more perfect for our family celebration Thanksgiving week! From our 90 year old parents to their 9 week old great grandson, everyone found their happy place within this amazing property. Siblings grabbed morning walks along the beach on the gulf side, Cousins played pickleball together, went kayaking along the bayside with dolphins swimming beside them, while the littlest great grandchildren spent hours shelling and swimming. Each night we caught sunsets at the beach and with the help of the oversized golf cart and plenty of beach chairs, even our 90 year old parents were able to get over to the gulf to enjoy the sunset and a swim! After dinner we all sat around the firepit while the kids made s’mores and we got caught up on all that we might have missed that year living hundreds of miles apart. Late night movies in the media room ensued for the cousins long after the rest of us had hit the sack! Michelle gave us great leads on catering, cruises, and exactly what we could expect for room layouts, kitchen space, etc. One of our most memorable nights was the sunset cruise we took with Captiva Cruises, who picked our entire group of 30 up at our private dock, making it so easy to get our parents on board and settled in for an amazing 2 hour sunset cruise and dolphin sighting! We had our entire week of meals- including Thanksgiving dinner- catered by Paper Fig Kitchen, another of Michelle’s suggestions that was perfect for our group. We spent a couple hours on the phone with Deb the week before we arrived, and every meal was absolutely perfect! Each day dinner arrived w heating instructions, along with breakfast casseroles and lunch for the following day...a true blessing when you are trying to feed 30 individuals with a few different dietary requirements! We finished the week w a quick family photo session under the Banyon tree, which will help keep the memories alive for many years to come! Though i think we might have to return again and make Sea Oats a family tradition!

A SPECIAL GETAWAY ON THE GULF - A FAMILY TRIP TO REMEMBER

“I loved Sea Oats and the beautiful pool where I could swim all day with my cousins.” our 4 1/2 year old great granddaughter”. It has been a tradition in our family for all of our kids, grandkids, great grandchildren, spouses and significant others to vacation together at least once each year. Finding the right place presents an annual problem for us, not only because of the sheer number of us (27), but because of the diversity of age of four generations (from age 1 up to 83). But this past December we hit the jackpot! We stayed at the palatial and luxurious Sea Oats in Captiva, a glorious “home” a stone’s throw from the Gulf of Mexico to the front, and a serene channel to the rear. Not only were the home and the ambiance remarkable, but the items available for us could not have been better thought out — fishing gear, kayaks, a bar, TVs, a media room, enough kitchen supplies and refrigerators to feed an army, and a golf cart for tooling around. The very large, heated swimming pool, surrounded with comfortable lounges, tables and chairs, was the hub of most of our activities, although our granddaughter gave her Yoga lessons to all of us either on the Gulf beach or on the home’s fishing boat dock. Magnificent sunsets and wine was a nightly ritual at the Gulf Beach. A tennis/basketball court with all the equipment was in a beautiful setting for use of any of family who wanted a good exercise. Everything worked, everything was spotlessly clean, and everything was up to date. We would be remiss not to mention Vicki, the on-sight property manager, who showed us everything, explained everything, and kept everything in order. Her constant smile and good nature, she was always there to help. The owner was so helpful in the planning of our trip. Any reasonable request was honored. Every one of us loved Sea Oats, and we’re already talking about a return trip.

This was an absolutely fabulous estate. We had 13 in our group representing a family of 3 generations ranging in age from 72 to 9. Each was able to find their area of quietness and their areas of activity: tennis, beach, shelling, swimming pool, boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing and so on. It is an expensive retreat but very much worth it. I don't think it was overpriced at all. The common living areas were conducive to gathering and comfort. The kitchen was top notch and the table for 12+ in the kitchen area was made to create memorable evenings of conviviality and bonding. The pool was wonderful in the morning hours and good for the sun worshipers in the afternoon. The wildlife was varied from manatees to tarpons to snooks and so on. With your eyes open even more wild life was there: ospreys, flamingoes, scorpions, iguanas, snakes, and sea hares. It was a memorable experience for even the most jaded of our travelers. One night we indulged in a personal chef recommended by Christine. Chef Galvin prepared a fabulous meal that even our world travelers are still raving about. It started with deep water scallops kimchi and moved to salad and then wonderful grouper and finished with chocolate molten lava cakes. Non seafood eaters were rewarded with petite filets suis vide and then seared on site and awesome pasta, The chef then left us with lagniappe of an authentic key lime pie to enjoy for 3 mor days. A truly awesome experience. Six stars on a five scale.

Perfection at its Fullest

Everything about this Estate was magical. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly and the property is kept in immaculate condition. I had my wedding in the front of the property and my reception in the back and it was pure perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better crew or weekend. Anyone looking to rent this house look no further, nothing else will compare. I cannot say enough about everything. Thank you again for renting this beautiful piece of heaven.

AMAZING property for our family reunion

Our extended family (16 adults and 14 children age 4-17) came to Sea Oats for a week long vacation. All of the communication that led up to our stay was extremely detailed and timely. The property was immaculate when we arrived and all amenities were thoroughly explained to us. The pictures and layout of the space were exactly as advertised. The video game/tv room was spacious, there was an extra refrigerator for our use and plenty of space for family meals both inside and outside the house. The pool area had plenty of seating for everyone. Christine, the manager was wonderful and extremely responsive throughout our stay. We emailed her during our stay for recommendation on activities in the area. We received immediate feedback and phone numbers from her. Christina coordinated an all-day boat excursion to Cayo Costa and lunch on Cabbage Key - Fabulous! The boat picked us up at the property which was extremely convenient since not everyone rented cars for our stay. Our family took numerous kayak excursions and many bike rides. The property was large enough that the kids spent a lot of time riding up, down and around the driveway. The bikes, kayaks and paddle boards were delivered to the property before we arrived. The golf cart was perfect for transporting chairs, umbrellas and people to the beach. We took many bike rides for coffee in the morning and ice cream in the afternoon. We added 2 bikes to our original order and they were delivered within 30 minutes. We had a bike chain that came off a few times - we made one phone call and the bike was switched out within 30 minutes. Impeccable service! A welcome basket with S'mores ingredients, a tray of snacks, and our names on individual room tags added nice personalized touches to our stay. I would HIGHLY recommend this property for a family reunion! Our days involved trips to the beach, bike rides, swimming in the pool, and kayak rides through the mangrove forest. We had a fabulous trip in large part due to all the amenities and layout of Sea Oats.
