Located on one of the most beautiful stretches of the Ionian coast, on lava rocks in direct contact with the sea, near the beautiful beach reserve Fiumefreddo and marine protected area 'Islands of the Cyclops'. From here it will be easy to reach Etna, Taormina, Catania, Siracusa, Noto, Modica and any other tourist destination in Eastern Sicily. The house is equipped with air conditioning, is composed of a bedroom with double bed and single bed, living room with sofa bed, kitchen, bathroom and terrace for 5 comfortable beds furnished and equipped. Ideal for enjoying the sea and to visit the eastern Sicily.

Great location, great hosts

The home was located in a perfect spot for us to explore the hiking trails around Parco del Etna. Francesco and Lucia were always quick to respond to our requests. The house is well equipped, we had many meals overlooking the peaceful sea.

We loved the location and seclusion.

Pozzillo Inferiore is a tiny fishing harbor with a pizza place, a bar, and a small grocery store, all within easy walking distance from our place. It is perfectly situated midway along the Ionian Sea so it was easy to go to Taormina, Catania, Siracusa, and beyond. Francesco is a friendly and willing host. It is a beautiful place on the Mediterranean Sea, perfect for the two of us!

Nice and quiet

A very nice and quiet accommodation with stunning views of the lava cliffs and the sea. We stayed in Casa Pozzillo at Easter, were alone in the house and could use the entire garden ourselves. The apartment was well equipped, there were even spices, tea and milk, etc. that Francesco said we were free to use. Francesco and his wife were very friendly and helpful and we were welcomed with a bottle of wine and fine decorations including lemons.

Excellent view on the sea

We stayed one week in the apartment in Pozzillo and had an excellent stay. The view from the terasse is splendid, exactly as the photos show. The bed is comfortable and the apartment is reasonable well equiped. There is a gate in the garden wall giving semi-private access to the sea. You can climb down the lava rocks and take a swimm (if there is not too much wind). It is a good idea to wear swimming shoes though (some are available in the apartment). Breakfast on the terasse was really nice. The communication with Francesco (the owner) was perfect. There was a minor technical problem and he immediately took action and solved the problem. You can easily park your car on the road in front of the house. Internet worked as it should. Thanks Francesco for everything!

Si vous recherchez plutôt la tranquillité à l'agitation estivale, c'est un endroit où aller. Petit village familial avec petit port où tout le monde doit se connaître. L'accès aux criques se fait par des plateformes qui sont vite saturées par les familles. La circulation au seing du village est compliquée (petites routes) où l'on doit souvent faire marche arrière. Manque d'activités sur place mais bon point de chute pour visiter l'est de la Sicile.

Schön, aber ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen

Die Lage der Unterkunft mit Blick aufs Meer ist sehr schön, auch wenn man sich ein wenig durchs Örtchen schlängeln muss um dort hin zu kommen und von unten war der Blick etwas von den Büschen versperrt, das könnte man ein wenig Schneiden, dann wär's noch schöner :) Erstmal unsere kleinen Kritikpunkte: Im Obergeschoss ist ebenfalls noch eine Wohnung, teilweise haben wir dann abends einiges von oben gehört. Es gibt viele Mücken dort und leider keine Mückengitter an den Fenstern/Türen. Der Host hat aber verschiedene Dinge zur Mückenabwehr bereit gestellt, wir hätten nur gerne die Fenster nachts offen gelassen um Frischluft hinein zu lassen, das war nicht möglich. Die Dusche ist wirklich klein und es war schwer die richtige Wassertemperatur zu halten. Und die Haustür konnte nicht abgesperrt werden, da scheinbar etwas verzogen. Aber das gesamte Haus ist durch einen hohen Zaun geschützt, somit auch sehr sicher alles. Und jetzt was uns sehr gut gefallen hat: Spiele und Reiseführer/Bücher in der Unterkunft, die wir uns gerne angeschaut und genutzt haben. Es gibt einen direkten Zugang zum Meer, allerdings Steinstrand und eine Außendusche, wenn man dann wieder rein kommt. Das ist idyllisch! Das Bett war sehr bequem, wir haben gut geschlafen. Küche TOP ausgestattet (auch wenn bei uns der Ofen leider nicht ging) und abends auf dem Balkon ein Gläschen Wein trinken war wirklich schön. Danke an Francesco und Lucia für die schöne Woche :)

Tellement déçue

Pour commencer, l’arrivée dans l’annonce est notée à 16h00. Le propriétaire nous a demandé de venir à 16h30 et 1 fois sur place on a dû encore attendre car les sols venaient d’être lavés et n’étaient pas encore secs. Ensuite le propriétaire nous annonce que la maison que nous louons était en fait qu’1 rdc et qu’1 personne habitait au dessus. Personne qui bien sûr faisait du bruit tard le soir et tôt le matin. De plus, le réseau wifi était en panne mais 1 technicien devait venir 2 jours après notre arrivée. Technicien qui n’est manifestement jamais venu puisque nous n’avons jamais eu de connexion. Pour continuer on s’est aperçu 1 fois le propriétaire parti qu’il n’y avait pas d’eau courante. J’ai du recontacter le propriétaire qui est revenu 30 mn après nous expliquant que c’était un problème de voirie et qu’il nous branchait sur l’eau de citerne. L’eau était marron et bien sûr non potable. La veille de notre départ nous avions rendu nôtre véhicule de location car nous partions très tôt le matin et sommes donc rentrés en taxi le soir pour nous retrouver à nouveau sans eau courante. J’ai recontacté le propriétaire qui nous a dit qu’il ne pouvait rien faire et que la voirie avait encore coupé l’eau. Nous étions coincé dans ce rdc sans eau pour préparer un repas ni nous laver. Heureusement qu’il restait un paquet de chips car aucun geste ni attention de la part du propriétaire malgré le fait que je lui ai signalé que si il nous avait informé dans la journée on se serait organisé

klare Empfehlung

Lucia und Francesco sind sehr zuvorkommende und korrekte Gastgeber. Bei der Ankunft fanden wir unter anderem Nudeln und Pastasauce, frische Eier, Anchovis, eine frische Gurke sowie ein ungeöffnetes Päckchen Kaffee vor. Sogar zwei Fläschchen Bier waren im Kühlschrank. Die Wohnung ist in ausgezeichnetem Zustand, sehr gut ausgestattet mit allem, was wir benötigten. Alles funktionierte, das gilt auch für das sehr gute WLAN. Es gibt zwei Terrassen mit Sitzgelegenheiten, die man je nach Sonnenstand nutzen kann, beide mit Aussicht auf das Meer direkt vor dem Gartentor. Die Lage ist ruhig und abseits vom Massentourismus, zum Einkaufen ist ein Auto ratsam, gegen Mücken sollte man sich schützen können, das gilt aber wohl für ganz Sizilien. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Eine wunderbare Wohnung

Die Wohnung liegt in einer unbeschreiblichen Lage wie beschrieben direkt am Meer und ist insgesamt gut ausgestattet. Der Vermieter war stets sehr gut zu erreichen und ist sehr hilfsbereit; einzig die kleine Dusche könnte für korpulente oder sehr große Menschen problematisch sein.

Sehr schön gelegene Ferienwohnung mit Meerblick

Wir genossen 2 ruhige und erholsame Urlaubswochen in der FeWo von Lucia und Francesco. Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet. Bezüglich des Schlafzimmerbetts hätten wir uns ein bessere, härtere Matratze gewünscht. Frühstück auf der Terrasse mit Meerblick war super. Für Einkauf und Sightseeing ist unbedingt ein Auto erforderlich.

Top Unterkunft in traumhafter Lage

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Woche in dieser super Ferienwohnung. Die Wohnung war mit allem ausgestattet was wir brauchten. Der Vermieter hat uns zur Begrüßung Zitronen und Wein hingestellt. In der Küche war alles um sich am ersten Abend noch eine schöne Portion Spagetti mit Tomatensoße zu machen. Auch war Francesco sehr hilfreich bei allen Fragen . Das Meer ist direkt vor der Nase und es war herrlich darin zu baden. Die Woche war dann viel zu kurz um alle Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Umgebung zu sehen. Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit und können die Wohnung nur empfehlen.

We stayed with great pleasure in this cosy appartment, enjoyed the quiet neighbourhood and the beautiful sunrise every mornig, having breakfast on the terras. The house is well decorated with work of Lucia, who is an illustrator. Francesco welcomed us( a bottle of wine on the table) and is a very friendly and helpful host. The kitchen is pretty well equiped for preparing meals. The only thing we missed was a kitchentowel for drying the dishes.On walking distance there is a fishrestaurant in the small harbour, and a small shop. Although it is the end of october, the temperature was fine, so we didn't miss the lack of heating. It does have air conditioning, which you will need in summer. The terrace is situated north and east, so in the mornings you'll wake up in sunshine. thank you Francesco and Lucia for your hospitality

The pictures of the flat in the announcement give an very good impression how the it looks in reality. The flat is clean, well equipped and with an astonishing terrace view onto the sea. Also, the owner is very friendly and helpful. The contact was nice and without any problems.

Une location vue sur la mer

Logement suffisant pour 2 ou 3 personnes, bien équipé et fonctionnel. Agréable balcon ou l'on peut déjeuner avec une vue imprenable sur la mer. Attention, l'accès à la mer n'est pas toujours simple, du fait de la côte rocheuse, et s'effectue par l'intermédiaire de plate-forme en bois. Location bien située pour les visites de Catane, Siracuse, Taormine et bien sûr l'Etna.

What an amazing place, no sunrise was the same, great little swimming hole, fridge was a little dirty but nothing we couldn't deal with, Francesco hooked us with a nice bottle of red and an amazing tour guide of Mt. Etna, great neighborhood... pizza, pastry, cold cuts, fresh fruit and vegis. Great shower, washing machine all the comforts of home.... no more hotels for us
